Genuinely one of the worst Ikea productsJesseeI've been assembling Ikea products for over a decade and this simple little hanger was a nightmare.
First, there's a sticker on one of the bamboo pieces that doesn't come off cleanly — leaves a sticky residue. You then can't face it outward (visible) or inward (sticks to your poster). No indication in the instructions about which direction the pieces should face.
Then you screw the metal clamps to one bamboo piece, lay your poster in, and shove the other piece on top. But the clamps are SO tight that pushing the second piece in crumples/damages the bottom of your poster. It's virtually impossible to keep the poster flush while wedging the top piece in. I spent 15 minutes trying workarounds — bending the clamps, taping the poster — but the clamps are so tight they scratch the poster regardless.
The whole thing is an engineering disaster. Clearly some other reviewers have this issue, but most don't, so maybe there's a deviation in clamp tightness?? Anyway — just buy a regular frame.

Wish it was longerMarilouThis bamboo poster hanger adds a bit of Asian flare for my Godzilla print and stands out on dark posters. It blends well with lighter colors. I wish it came in longer lengths for 24" posters. Also wish it had a hanging cord included (I added a black hanging cord). Works well for small posters.
