Best space saveris for liquidsIngrid H.Best space saveris for liquids in fridge or your daily ice tea5
I love thisLoriI make goatsmilk for my dogs. This is great to mix & store it in. Holds just enough for 3 or 4 days worth. The lid I think could be a little better. If your shaking it you have to let the air out 1st or you'll have a mess. I think the rubber lid could be better but other then that it's awesome.looks good too. Pours easily. No mess4
Sleek designSarahAttractive simple design. Glass is well made the lid is moderately difficult to replace but it seals well keeping contents fresh so worth the mild frustration5
Lid is difficult to attachBenjamin B.I probably wouldn't buy this again. The lid is a stretchy rubber that you need both hands to pull out and stretch over the opening. It's just a pain.3
Great and sturdy carafeSHIVAUN M.I bought 3 of these carafes 2 for myself and 1 for my mom. I like the look, they are sturdy and because they narrow towards the top it makes it easy to grip. However the lids which can be difficult to put on are a cheaper silicone because it has already partly ripped. I was searching for a replacement lid but no such luck. That is unfortunate. The price is great also.4
Exactly What I Was Looking For!KimberlyI wanted fun bottles for milk in the fridge. As usual, IKEA delivered! Need two for a half-gallon oat milk, etc but just looks so pretty in the fridge!5
Love the way i couldSabaLove the way i could use this bottle without being afraid it would spill as i have kids running around.5
Great value! Use it everyday.BORAGreat value! Use it everyday.5
LightweightRUBYI like that this carafe is lightweight, but not overly fragile, and has a flexible silicone cap that's quite secure. Most other carafes are quite quiet heavy with either a cork or hard plastic cap. The only thing would like is if IKEA sold replacement caps (perhaps in a 2 or 3 pack). I used these for water, iced tea, and fresh juices in the fridge. Great to reduce carbon footprint. Simple, clean design, good general size, maybe with a slight reduction in price (bc dollar stores sell glass carafes) would push to 5 stars for me4

Nice and SleekStephanieThis is a great glass bottle. I was able to snag mine from the clearance section. Very easy to hold and pour drinks. I keep it filled with ice tea and in the fridge. Keeps the beverage nice and chill for a decent amount of time.5
My OJ containerJessicaI love this container and it’s what I expected it to be.5
Perfect fridge storage optionTRACYI love how clean this looks in my fridge. I store my hummingbird water in it.5

Like that it has aANITALike that it has a cap5
Small But GoodJoscelynI like this carafe. It's a little small but I like that it has a reusable lid that seals really tight.5
excellent bottleDianeHandy size, lids stretches on easily5
Great for cold beveragesJeremyGreat for water & other light drinks that you want to chill but have limited fridge space5

VARDAGEN Carafe with lid, clear glass, 34 oz

Designing for the tastes of people around the world

Do you sometimes cook dishes from other cultures? Then you’re part of an international trend called transculturalism. It basically means that global cooking and eating habits are a lot more similar than you may think. How can we cater for this trend? We designed the VARDAGEN series with products that can be used in multiple ways. In Swedish, VARDAGEN means “every day”, which is just how the products are meant to be used, no matter where you live.

“Consumers have access to cultural diversity in cooking and eating from all over the world,” explains Ina Tidbeck Sjöblom, who helped create the products. “They want to taste the best of all cultures, which means that it’s not only in Asia that we need eating products for sushi.”

Creating products for all our differences (and similarities)

The VARDAGEN products are designed to turn differences into similarities. Like the eggcup. “We did it in a shape that it’s more like a very small dip bowl,” explains Ina. “So it’s also for Asian eating, you know the bowl where you put chili paste and other condiments.” Another bowl has just the right size and shape to be a rice bowl in Asia, but it can also be used as a side-salad or cereal bowl.

Answering the global demand for durability

VARDAGEN is uniquely suited to the global market—catering to the different needs of eaters. One thing people all over the world seem to agree on is the importance of durability. “We know from all the studies and research we do that people don’t want to buy and throw away things, they want to buy something that lasts,” says Ina. That’s why VARDAGEN is made from durable and sustainable materials, like glass, porcelain and stainless steel. That means, just like the name VARDAGEN suggests, they’ll be useful every day for many days to come.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Designer thoughts

”We designed VARDAGEN tableware and glassware because we wanted to make timeless, traditional and lasting items for your home. Inspired by old-fashioned craftsmanship, we gave every piece a distinct function. Attention to detail and soft, round shapes make a beautiful frame for the food and drink on the table. Simplicity and honesty are the words we use to describe the products. Each part of the series has a soul of its own, that brings back memories and creates new ones!”
