Perfect!SandraDelivered the next day. Paid extra to have it delivered into the living room. My sister and I leisurely put it together in 1:30 hours with no problems. It’s gorgeous and firm. Unlike the Arhaus sofa I bought for 3 times as much that went flat after a couple months. Ever step of the way with my IKea purchase was effortlessly and satisfying!! It’s perfect!5
Product was easy to assemble.DanielProduct was easy to assemble. The only issue was the cover or rather, one seat cushion cover zipper split. We were able to fix.4
ComfyKarenVery comfortable sofa. It’s nice and firm - perfect fit for our living room.5
10 year warranty?FayThis couch is such a disappointment. I’ve had it just about a year and the cushions are still hard as a rock. From day one, the cover never lined up and the plastic like material is so uncomfortable. The cover ripped the last time I put it on because it’s way to small for the cushions. I purchased the same version of this couch but smaller 4 years ago and loved it. I’m curious why this is advertised as having a 10 year warranty but all Customer service responds with is a 180 day return policy (which is a maybe return policy that no one has a clear answer to)?1
Just what I wanted and expected.BreckI made several visits to IKEA on line and the store to make sure the color/size/comfort level were just what I wanted and I really do love this piece.
As far as putting it together - it went very smoothly. 1 person did most of it and I was only needed a few times when matching pieces.5
I LOVE my Uppland! ItCeliaI LOVE my Uppland! It IS my new studio apartment! Very comfy! I got this rather than a daybed because I knew it would be more comfortable. The naming of this color as "turquoise" is a mystery: it is actually a lovely forest green with a hint of blue which I also love.5
Save Your Money!MeganI normally never write reviews, but I bought this sofa nearly a year ago and have been super disappointed ever since. The fabric has never laid right, especially on the chaise, and was very difficult to put on. There were loose fabrics sticking up on various parts of the sofa, especially the back cushions immediately after purchase. One of the back cushions wasn’t stitched properly at the seam and it looks like very poor workmanship. The fabric pills terribly and leaves water stains whenever you try to dab it to spot clean. After a year of use, the cushions, ESPECIALLY the chaise, look worn and indented while the front part of the chaise still looks puffy and firm. I want to wash the fabric to see if all of the water spots would come out but I’m terrified to remove the fabric and attempt to put it back on! I’m moving soon and sadly won’t be bringing this sofa with me. I normally LOVE IKEA products, but they really missed the mark with this sofa. Very disappointed!1
Bring back Ecktorp !!!EllenThe covers are extremely hard to get on and are very tight, so because of that the seams and zipper areas are ripping. I dread having to put these on after washing them. The seat cushion covers can only be used on one side and are not flippable . The chaise cushion and cover is very poorly designed and looks awkward. This sofa and cover doesn't look nearly as nice as on the website. It looks sloppy and ill fitting and cheap! So sorry I bought it. I miss the Ecktorp series!1
Great sofaBetsyFor the price, this is a good solid sofa and chaise.5
My UplandCornellI really Love this sofa, it’s firm enough yet comfortable for me and a perfect size for my studio and the fact you move the chaise to either side is a bonus I wasn’t expecting5
Looks great. Perfect color. AKarenLooks great. Perfect color. A bit stiff at first but great value for the money4
Slip covers poor qualityJulieI’ve barely had this couch a year and the covers look awful. They’re wearing down absurdly quickly and grip dog hair like no other. Impossible to vacuum. The chaise looks ridiculous and doesn’t really sit well. I expected WAY better quality from IKEA. So disappointed and I’m out of the return window so I’m stuck. Don’t make the same mistake!2
New sofaTinaWe needed a new sofa that didn’t break the bank, was easy to clean (we have kids and dogs) and comfortable for everyday use in the family room. This sofa is PERFECT.5
Skip this oneTammyWe purchased an IKEA sectional for our daughter approximately eight years ago and it has held up very well. The slip covers wash beautifully and are well made. I was expecting the same quality product when I purchased the Uppland, however I’m extremely disappointed in the sofa and in particular, the slip covers. The sofa has already sustained a tear in the chaise lounge upholstery where my husband put his feet. The original set of slip covers are already starting to rip at the seams, one of the zippers came off during washing, and other zippers are no longer functional. Another set of slip covers had malfunctioning zippers straight out of the box. I bought a third set of slip covers and haven’t taken them out of the box. I plan on returning them based on the poor quality of the others. The sofa and slip covers are about 3 months old and a HUGE waste of money!2
The perfect modern sofaGisselOur family loves this sofa. It is perfect, makes our home look beautiful. We are very happy with this comfortable sofa.5
Not only is it reallyVerified BuyerNot only is it really easy to assemble it’s also the comfiest couch I’ve ever sat on, hands down the best couch you can get at ikea5
DisappointedErinWe've had this sofa for 18 months now and I have the same frustrations now as I did when we bought it. The cushions are extremely firm. After months of use, they show signs of where people sit, but they don't get any softer. The chaise especially looks ridiculous because the part where you sit is significantly lower than the foot of the chaise. I wish I could attach a picture. We tried putting the cushions in the wrong way (because there is a "right" way) and that helped for a few months but now where back in the same boat. And these slip covers are equally as frustrating. Nearly impossible to get on, and then they never look right no matter how hard you try. We have the totebo beige and whatever this material is it hangs on to crumbs. You can't just wipe something off the sofa because the material has grooves and grips the crumbs. It's also very easy to mark up and I did not have good luck washing them. I had to iron the entire slipcover again because of all the wrinkles.2
Great for an Affordable CouchKristenWhen I bought this couch I got the totebo light beige for $800, which I thought was a fair price given it is a sofa with chaise. I have had this couch for 2 months now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I researched and watched countless videos on this couch before purchasing and I feel I made the right decision buying it. The ONLY issue I have encountered so far is the pilling on the seat portions of the sofa cover, but I bought one of those pilling shavers and it eliminates them enough if you do it every few weeks. It does get annoying and makes the couch look dirty though, which is why I removed a star. Other than that I find this couch to be very comfy, not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say the seats feel stiff. For our smaller apartment this was the perfect addition and we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it!4
Looks are DecievingSueI wanted to LOVE this couch so much. I had contemplated for years getting the Ektorp or Uppland, and finally decided to take the plunge. The seating is uncomfortably firm , but I was certain that they would soften up once broken in. Here we are about 6 months later, and the couch (and matching chair) are still hard as rocks. The slip covers are pilling terribly, and the covers look like we've had them for years. Very disappointed. I've thought about replacing the slipcovers (of course all of the others are considerably more expensive), but am hesitant to spend more money to have them do the same thing. We've also been waiting (and checking weekly) for the matching ottoman that we initially purchased but were then given a gift card for because they couldn't locate it in the store to fulfill our order. We check weekly for it and still can't get it here on the east coast, yet they've been available for months on the western side of the US. C'mon IKEA, get it together!2
TerribleMelissaI’ve had several Ikea sofas over the years and in general have been very pleased, however; I do not recommend this sofa at all. The fabric is scratchy and the cushions are so uncomfortably firm. It’s also lumpy and the covers for the pillows do not fit well. The seams are also very fragile and I’m already seeing where one is threatening to come undone. The seat cushions are very tall leaving almost nothing to lean back on because the back is short. You can’t sink into this couch and get comfy. It feels so cheap. I’m so disappointed. You’ve gone downhill with this one Ikea. Now I don’t know how I’m going to return this monstrosity. Ugh.2
