Sturdy and nice lookingJULIANAI love that this is very solid and sturdy. Also you can choose from three different heights to mount the slats or bar, I love this!5
terrible experience with step #10loulounne10i love assembling Ikea furniture and have done several builds recently. this is one of the more difficult builds because the holes do not line up in step #10. i have to return the bed and will purchase another hoping that the holes line up to complete step #10.1
Great bedScottJustWriteI bought this a month ago and I find it great! Easy to assemble and affordable5
Sturdy bedMiafaceSturdy bed, followed instructions on how to put it together, needed help only with the headboard, its a bit on the heavy side other than that assembly is straight forward. Very happy with my purchase, will be purchasing a second one for the guest bedroom.5
The Headboard Sucks to Build. BRING A MALLET.NormsnamanI've built and assembled Ikea furniture and other furniture before. Following instructions isn't a problem. The issue with the headboard is that it comes in 5 pieces wherein at Step 10 you have to connect one large leg, the bar section of the headboard, and 2 other sections below the headboard that are simply connected by 3 wooden pegs and gravity. As another reviewer pointed out the holes and parts where each section don't really line up exactly so it's annoying to assemble by yourself. I ended up cracking and breaking a lower section of the headboard during assembly and had to go back to Ikea for a replacement. The second time around I was able to luckily jar all the sections together so they could be tightened. The rest of the build isn't too bad. It's just Step 10 is incredibly stupid when the pieces won't fit flush together. Eventually I learned the trick is to get all the connecting pieces as close together as possible by using a rubber mallet to lightly hammer each section together. Then by tightening them with an Allen wrench each piece will connect together properly and tightly. Good luck to anyone building this well made but poorly designed for assembly bed frame.3
Very stylish. Worth every penny.kieksterI almost got scared off by all the negative reviews regarding this bed's assembly, but am SO GLAD that I bought it anyway. I really liked the rounded style of the headboard and couldn't find it anywhere else. I bought the King-sized frame and was super nervous about the installation. I started building the bed by myself and then got help half-way in (when you were supposed to connect the heavier parts. We followed the instructions step by step, made sure we weren't hasty. After about an hour, the bed was assembled and it wasn't bad at all. I am not sure if the other folks here received a bad batch? All the pre-drilled holes lined up and I am so happy I now own this beautiful bed. Don't let the one-star reviews scare you off. It's really not that complicated to build this bed and it really looks stunning and is comfy.5
Bed slats fallingSteviSI really like this bed, however it took my brother and his friend about 3 hours to assemble. I have 10-15 pieces of IKEA furniture and have never had this much problem with assembly. Then if I don’t climb on the bed just right (it’s high and I’m an older big woman) the slats slide and fall off on the bottom! UGH! Any suggestions??3
Poor quality, with misaligned holesdandylionPlease read the reviews - I experienced the same thing that many others have been writing about. The holes of the bed frame are indeed misaligned, making it impossible to assemble the bed together. I will be either a) throwing this out or b) spamming IKEA's unresponsive customer service line until someone deigns to pick up and help refund my order. I'm planning to order my bed from Amazon instead. Thanks, IKEA. What a great way to spend a Friday night.1
Worst IKEA experience everaugie55I have put together many IKEA pieces without problems, but this one was awful. The specific issue was the headboard, holes did not line up so there was no way it was going to go together. I had this delivered and it would be an 8 hour drive to return it, so this bed will go into the garbage. Thanks IKEA.1
Beautiful simple bed frameCyndiLou528I bought this frame approximately a month ago, but only put it together within the last week. I am very familiar with assembling IKEA products and this was very easy to put together. Only took me about an hour, even assembling by myself. When looking for a bed frame, I was in search of something simple in design and white in color, as it is being used at my beach home. This frame checked all of my must haves! I am very happy with my choice. I possibly even have my mother in law interested in buying one for her room at the beach house. I highly recommend!!5
You CANT do it yourselfJS1710I bought this bedframe yesterday, looked so beautiful and simple. However ttying to build it was a nightmare. There is an overwhelming amount of pieces and some of the holes were not aligned or placed correctly which is why the pieces wouldn’t assemble. Really disappointed with this product and with Ikeas claim that “you can build it yourself”1
Sturdy Frame Difficult AssemblyPersephone47I bought this bed to replace the Leirvik bed I bought a few years ago that was too wobbly. Im happy to say this bed is well made and sturdy. It looks great and is elegant and simple. I really like that it didn't have a tall footboard. Biggest issue is this bed's headboard is EXTREMELY difficult to put together. It took me over an hour just to put the headboard pieces together, and the assembly process caused minor damage to the pieces. Once it was actually finally put together, it looks great, but I would rate this as most definitely the single most frustrating piece of furniture I've ever had to put together, so be sure to have like two or three people there to help.4
Great Bed, Value for money but hard to assembleveligetiTook a while to fix the bed. However, product is great, looks good, value for money.4
Will not assembleNotafanCouldn't assemble because holes drilled incorrectly, not allowing the screw holder to fit as needed. Very frustrating1
Great bed and worth the price!!!iarinilanThis is the first time I am writing a review for a product that I bought. I researched for a while on all the beds that IKEA had and could not decide on one. Then somehow I had missed to check on this one which had great reviews with no issues. I finally got it a week ago and this bed like the others say is very study and does not make any creaking sounds. Installation was easy with instructions and with someone to assist. I really love the look, style, and material of the this bed. It is a bit pricey than the other beds IKEA has, but you get what you pay for. You will not be disappointed by it. I am very glad with the choice I made and do not regret a bit!!5
Very sturdy, beautifulMabelloutownThis bed is super solid, heavy and amazingly supportive. It doesn't move, it doesn't squeak and totally worth the money. Love this bed. I do appreciate the options on where you want the mattress to lay, higher or lower within the frame. Go for it!5

"I was inspired by the idea of creating furniture that makes it possible to furnish your entire bedroom in the same style. The result is the TYSSEDAL series. It’s light, neat and soft - with a handcrafted feeling in every detail. How about a headboard that the sunlight can filter through, a wardrobe with mirrors in the doors, and chests and nightstands with softly shaped tops and drawer bottoms with a printed pattern. All the pieces are on turned legs and have handles in brushed chrome. The quality and style I know will last for many years."
