I saw some of theSujellI saw some of the other reviews and should of listen to them. My son really liked the bed and insisted on it. When we assembled it parts would just crack of it was so flimsy I had to buy 4 metal L shape pieces to give it support and make sure it wouldn't fall apart. Now my son hates the bed he says the headboard always makes noise.1
What we were looking formyshbBought this for a teenage boys bedroom. Fit his style perfect. We like the look of the mattress on the highest setting. Assembly is like all other IKEA furniture. Simple yet stylish.5
Love itDSparksSturdy bed. Easy to put together. Great price!5
OK Bed, Awful AssemblyDerek123Functionally, it works as a bed. However, the assembly process was a pain. First of all, the alignment between the holes in the wood and the metal frame are terrible, you essentially need to bend the metal to get it to fit properly. The diagonal slat supports were also nearly impossible to put on. The holes in the stamped metal supports must have not been threaded properly. In order to get the screws in, I had to essentially cut my own threads with the provided screws. Not a great experience with a Philips head drive, not to mention the metal shavings everywhere.2
Worth the moneyaravindharazI have been using this product for 2+ years now and I would definitely recommend this product. It's sturdy and easy to assemble and disassemble.5
Very high quality and stylishbrian8031Been eyeing this bedroom set for years and so glad we finally went with it. Beautiful mid-century modern design with very solid construction. Also easy to move on carpet to clean underneath (we have cats so fur builds up). Slanted headboard is great to sit up and lean against to read or watch TV. Very straight-forward and uncomplicated to assemble as well.5
Easy assemblyMES2281Good quality for the price5
Nice industrial/modern style bed framenancyb62This bed frame is beautiful once it’s together. But getting assembled is a chore! I lost a toe nail because the headboard slipped and slammed into my foot! Attaching the headboard is difficult and tedious. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE TIRED! Also, I would only recommend using slats on this bed with a solid wood under them; otherwise, they fall off the frame.4
Very unsatisfied.jh1993I had this bed for about a month and it won’t stop making squeaky noise!!! I removed the mattress and slats MULTIPLE times to tighten all the screws, then the bed is quiet for several days, and the noise comes back!!! Flimsy, and NOT sturdy at all. I have no idea how I will take this BACK to the store for a return so I may have to live with this annoying noise. Very unsatisfied with this product. I made an account so I can leave this review.1
Wade njIt a easy and very strong5
Don’t buyTofumel098Broke within a year. The screw from the headboard to the side support ripped through the pressed wood. Looking for a new bed now.1
Eri26I bought this a six month ago and am so happy that i did5
Awesome bedtbruurAssembly was easy and clear, took a while because it is a bigger bed and had a lot of screws but the two of us got it together in 2 hours. No issues with pillows falling or slats falling like other reviews say! Sturdy and looks stylish!5
Pretty, comfortable bed frameNick NI got the queen size of this bed with the Lonset slats. It looks great, and the slanted headboard is a comfortable touch. The bed seems sturdy too. It was somewhat difficult to assemble; even with two people, we felt a third person was needed for some parts. Some reviews say that pillows are prone to falling through the headboard; I have a 10 tall mattress and there is no room for pillows to fall into. You might've installed the headboard on the wrong height adjustment. There were a couple minor issues I had with this bed frame. First, the diagonal support rails are somewhat flimsy and the point where the rail extends is only secured with one screw, causing it to rattle when I moved around. I wrapped the extension points with tape to hold them in place and that fixed it. Second, it wasn't clear that the plastic pegs placed on the side rails were only for the Luroy slats, not the Lonset slats I have. I figured it out a few days later when the beams were creaking and bowing in ways they shouldn't have.5
Not worth the moneyLizzy002I had this bed for approximately 3 years before it broke. I never had an issue until I moved to an apartment with hardwood floors and the legs that hold the bottom bar at the foot of the bed started to bend and are now crooked. I don't know if it happened because the bed was sliding too much on the hardwood or what. I have not been rough on this bed and there is no reason for the legs to have bent. It is bent to the point where it looks like it could break soon. I contacted customer service to see if I could purchase a replacement part and they told me that the part I need isn't sold separately and basically that I was out of luck. I asked them if that meant my only option was to purchase an entirely new bed just to replace the one part and received no response. I moved back to an apartment with carpet so I think I'll be alright for a while longer. If you ask me I think a bed should last more than 3 years. If you have hardwood floors this might not be the right bed for you.1
If you lose pillows or slats, you assembled wrongtomvisionI have two of these beds, and have owned a few other beds by IKEA with the same modular design. They're engineered fine. With this particular model, if it's put together incorrectly you're going to have problems. I'll explain here so you don't make a mistake later: • The rails that hold the slats can be mounted in two positions. USE THE HIGHER ONE. If you use the lower one (meant for very tall mattresses), your pillows will fall through the headboard. Look at the product photo. See how there's no gap for the pillows to fall through? Yeah, you mounted the rails too low. • The wooden slats don't move. You didn't install the plastic bumpers that put tension on the slats lengthwise to stretch them in place lengthwise. I had an older model MALM bed I got used that did not have the plastic bumpers (the previous owner made the same mistake), and sure enough the wood slats moved diagonally, and eventually fell down. USE THE BUMPERS. The only weak point with these IKEA beds are the terrible side support rods. They're not tapped for the screws that go in them, so you have to screw them in VERY hard to seat them. Once you do it the first time they make their own threads, so assembly later is easier--but this is still a huge engineering fail. You still should use them as they keep the sides of the bed from expanding outwards. Follow the rules above and you should be fine with this frame. Like I said, I have two and they're great.4
Looks greatMama valI saw reviews saying it took several hours to build if you follow the picture exactly the way it shows it shouldn’t take that long. My husband and I took an hour putting it together.5
Fantastic bed frameCarl ArmI bought this bed frame over a month ago and still I'm taking back, every time I walk into my bedroom, with how great it looks! The frame itself is very sturdy, feels very solid, and it's very comfortable to sleep on. It was very easy to put together if you just take the time and follow the instructions. I was able to do it and just over an hour by myself. IKEA fixed the issue with the slats moving around and I have not had one move on me ever since I installed them. IKEA listened to the customers reviews, and corrected the mistake made in a design, so now the bed frame is flawless! Don't listen to the people who complain about bumping their shins on the corner of the bed; that's their fault, not the fault of the frame. Sure it might take some getting used to, with the lower profile, but that's still no fault of the frame, that's the users fault for having to make an adjustment and that shouldn't be taken out on the product just because some people can't adjust as easily as others!5
Breaks down and gets way too loseAshc2016I bought this maybe one year ago and if i get a bed frame i wouldnt want to buy one every single year. This one got super loose, we are constantly screwing it back together to maintain firmness. Even then, the bed is still super lose and the bed slates constantly come off even with them being over the nails. Annoying.2
Do Not Buy, Horrible Design !!DJayNYCI can't believe how bad the design of these bed frames is. This bed uses wooden slats to support the mattress. Any lateral (sideways) movement of the mattress causes the slats to move as well. The edges of the slats come off the side rails causing them to hang or fall off, not providing any support and consequently the mattress sags. I’ve been struggling with the bed slats falling every day. I always liked ikea products however this bed changed my opinion. Please avoid at all cost. Ikea should not continue this product.1
