Trotten Sit Stand Great Desk With ImperfectionsAnnaIt took me two hours to put this desk together. It looks good and the crank handle works fine. The only issue is that the desk rattles when I touch the desktop table part. Normal movement like writing on a piece of paper or running my hand across the desk, the whole tabletop rattles. I believe the issue is that the tabletop is only attached to the cross bar on the left and right side of the desk. The middle of the tabletop us not attached to anything - there is no screw in the middle of the tabletop attaching it to the crossbar. When I look under the tabletop I can see there is about 1 mm space between the tabletop and the crossbar, there is no stability there and it is allowing the tabletop to rattle. I am going to try to unscrew the tabletop and insert my own padding in that space. If that doesn‘t work I am going to take the whole thing apart and return it for a full refund. I am disappointed - I was looking forward to working on my new desk. But I can‘t work with that rattling.3
Liked it so much that I got a second one.LisaI love the ability to move the desk up and down. Don't really need it to be electric as I move the first one maybe once every other month. Perfect size for a sewing cutting table or a desk.5
Trotted deskMarilynI love it! Easy to assemble and works great. I would highly recommend it.5
Sit Stand deskDeniseI love this desk but it was a pain to put together. The rod to work the movement of the desk would not sit right the first two times and I had to take everything apart and fix the rod but it now works and I am happy! Let’s pray it does not come out again.4
Would certainly buy again.CheyVery sturdy desk/table, and the raise lower feature is great.5
Color DifferenceJillianLeaving this review solely as a warning that the beige is actually gray. My boyfriend has had this desk in white for a few years and is happy with it, so I didn't think to check them out in store before deciding on the beige. I looks looks like a warmer, light wood color in most of these pictures, but in reality it's office computer gray. Might return for the white top. Hope this helps if you're on the fence!5
Great valueJohnThe desk is very sturdy and well-made. It’s a little more difficult to assemble than some other pieces but still very doable. The hand crank is a little time-consuming but decent exercise, and isn’t that the point of a standing desk - to get you out of your habit of just sitting? If you are really tall, it might be a bit short for you fully raised up so be sure to check where you’d want your elbows to hit when typing. The only thing I don’t like are the color choices for the tabletop. I got the grey and the solid color shows fingerprints, etc. I would have preferred it to have a wood grain look, and a natural wood color would’ve been nice.4
Great, cost-efficient sit/stand deskKrystleAs someone who suffers from back problems, this desk is great. I am happy to have the flexibility to stand when I need to and sit by turning the crank on the side of the desk. It was easy to put together, just a little hard to manage the heavy base when you need to balance it to put the screws in. Simple construction, nice looking and I'm glad IKEA started making a black base. It fits all the computer equipment I need. This desk is great and serves its purpose!5
Excellent adjustable deskTerrenceSolid build quality in a minimalistic design. A tad over priced, but I guess you’re paying for the mechanical aspect and not for the superficial aspects. Hence why I bought the manual adjustment.5
Good desk, but the height is an issueLeoThis desk is of solid quality and it seems very stable so far. My only issue is that the at the lowest setting, the desk is still too high at around 28 and 3/8 inches. I've seen other standing desks go as far down as 25 inches and I'd appreciate the same option with this desk.3
Excellent!MeganLove! It is so stable and we wanted an adjustible desk that wasn't electric. This is so easy to move up or down and the tabletop is wide. Great for a home work station and just looks simple and clean!5
Easy assembly, so far so goodJeanI'd been wanting a standing desk for a while but didn't commit until now. Putting it together was relatively easy, considering I did it alone. So far it seems sturdy and provides ample room for my paraphernalia. I elected to get the smaller size so that it naturally limits how messy my desktop can get and I find the size perfect for my wfh needs. So far the swivel that raises/lowers the desk presents no problems and I'm hoping the lifespan is longer than the pricier electric ones. Now onto the challenge of breaking my habit of sitting!5

Crank doesn't work wellANTONELLAI am a diehard Ikea fan; I love their furniture. This is the first time I haven't liked something from Ikea. The desk is fine, but the crank doesn't work well, which defeats the point of getting a sit/stand desk. In retrospect, I wish I would have bought one I saw at Costco, because this crank is only 2 weeks old and it already seems like it's on it's last life. There are metal shavings on it every time I pull it out to crank it.... that doesn't seem good.2
Love this desk!AlexandraI’ve had this desk for roughly one month and it’s the perfect standing desk.5
GreatKateGreat but a little confusing to put together. Wish ikea had videos sometimes on building things they sell.5
You'll eventually will not be able to lock the arm as pictured.Risa O.I've been using this for over a year now. This desk is spacious enough for me and it is SO. STURDY. The only issue I have is that over time, the white arm (that allows you to adjust the height) will become unable to fully go through and lock as it is pictured, so I've been leaving the arm hanging. I tried dissembling and retried assembling but it didn't fix the issue. Just a food for thought before you purchase.4
Good for workers with chronic painKatrinaAs a person with chronic pain as well as a recent surgeries, the desk I had for my WFH/remote job was not working out for me. I saw this on a previous Ikea visit, and an adjustable desk had been suggested to me by several people so I finally ordered this model. I decided on the manual crank - it seemed less likely to disfunction and was much easier to use than I had thought (plus, I'll take any added movement after a long recovery period and long workdays!). The desk has helped alleviate some neck and upper back pain, as I can crank it up to eye-line for virtual meetings and not be hunched over, squinting at my screen. It's also nice to stand up and work on things to stretch my legs.
My one request is an attachable keyboard drawer add-on. Right now I'm using a lap desk for my keyboard, especially when I need to use the mouse. I know it wouldn't be good for all of the heights, but it would help.4
