Convenient wireless switchTonyI plugged my floor lamp in the corner of the living room to this outlet and just leave the remote on top of the couch armrest table to turn on and off without having to reach for the pull string that turns on and off the floor lamp. Super convenient and the low price is well worth it.
Buttons don't work. Waste of money.ThomasOn/off buttons sometimes don't work. You have to hit them over and over and sometimes they will eventually respond. Not worth using at all.
DiedKyleThe remote functioned fine for about a eight months. Over the past week, it has worked intermittently, despite changing the battery several times. Now it is just dead. I have two of the older style that are several years old that still function fine. Very disappointing.
Very NiceJustinThese do not need to be connected to the internet to work. You can pair it to a smart hub, but you don’t have to.
Something that’s not really shown, is that it comes with a metal mounting plate for the remote, that it can stick to thanks to some magnets in the back the remote. If you have a suitable spot, you can affix the plate there with the provided screws or 3M double sided tape and use it as a switch. The remote also sticks to any other suitable ferromagnetic surface on its own.
The response time with he remote is virtually instantaneous. Even with the plugs out of line of sight and behind some bulkier pieces of furniture I haven’t had any issues.
It’s very easy to pair another couple plugs to the remote. It’s all in the manual for the process. Using a lamp to test it was helpful.
A pro-tip: you can use one of the flats of the power pins of the plug to open the back of the remote for changing the battery/accessing the pairing button in the remote.
Super convenient switch!TmWorks great, looks stylish love the magnet option! A little pricey and I wish I could add more plugs just to this switch without having to purchase a whole kit but I feel it’s worth it as is
