Spray nozzle brokeSuzanneJust a couple of weeks after purchase the end cap/ spray nozzle broke off so spray function is no longer usable and water flow is not good. Not sure how to get a hold of customer service to get this fixed.it looks like this is a common problem after reading through several reviews. Hopefully we can get this fixed or replaced. I love the look of the faucet and functionality until it broke.3
Leaks and low pressureMichaelFirst one I bought had a broken aerator on the nozzle, the plastic tip wasn't flush with the spout and cracked off before I even installed it. We liked the design so we exchanged it for an identical one. Installation was okay except the directions do not describe the size of the coupling so I had to trial and error find out that it was a 3/8 compression. (Directions said 9/16 for some reason. After installation found that the pressure on both the spray and regular stream was very low compared to our old faucet. It makes sense, the supply tubes are very thin. The aerator on the second one was not cracked but was leaking around the perimeter. When using the spray mode, the spray switch was also leaking. We just replaced with a similar faucet from Amazon, 50 dollars cheaper and none of these problems. Will be returning this one tomorrow. Ikea should be responsible not just for a refund but for the time cost of install. Especially for those who used the service of a plumber.1
The black tarnished after a few weeks!MariannaThe sink is not elegant or beautiful. It looks like I've had it for years and it's only been less than a year! It slowly started getting little silver peeka-boo pieces and now most of the bottom is silver. It tarnished and it makes me very sad. There's not even anything I can do to fix it.1
Well made faucetAaronBought it for outdoor sink use. So far it’s been one week with the faucet and there has been no problems. Installation is easy and visual installation directions are included. You’ll need the basic hookups (3/8”) lines (hot and cold). I worried that the rubber hose will wear in the direct sun so I’m covering it with a towel. I added this faucet to an IKEA Grillskar sink and the black color goes well with the black sop pots and shelving.5
Great product and it wasEricGreat product and it was very easy to install.5
Great Improvement for my kitchenCurtisI love this new faucet for my kitchen. The best part is the lever on the side to change from regular stream to the spray feature. So much easier than the buttons on my previous faucet. Love the way the black finish coordinates with the new sink, too.5
Great faucet just not for my sinkKeithWe purchased the Apron front double bowl sink. The faucet works well but it doesn’t reach out far enough into the sink causing water to splash onto the counter unless I’m really careful 100% of the time. I was filling up a pitcher and doing other things at the same time and being that the faucet is so close the pitcher overflowed onto the countertop. Even when washing hands due to the close proximity of the faucet to the edge of the sink I have to be careful to avoid splashing water onto the sink. I try to keep the area as dry as possible to avoid mold since we live in a humid climate so I spend extra time drying countertop because of excess water exposure due to the faucet being to close. I’ll be changing it out eventually. I’d still recommend it to someone with the right sink. It would probably be good for a sink that is occasionally used rather than ever day use.3
Love. But no.LarissaWe remodeled our whole kitchen with Ikea. We got this faucet and as soon as we opened the box we noticed it was missing paint but it wasn’t super noticeable and couldn’t wait any longer for a kitchen to function. We decided to put it in. After a few months more paint has been chipping off. Definitely not worth the money.1
Sleek And FunctionalFerdinandIt was easy install and has a nice finish. I feel like it would look great in most any kitchen including ours :) The top leading to the spout is a rubber component so I'm curious to see how long it can stand up to our hard water. The lever has a firm yet smooth feel. Hope it lasts 10 years!5
Love the TollsjonMayaSo chic! matches well with matte black sink pans; I love it’s detachable. We had a professional install it but it appeared relatively easy.5
Beautiful faucetVerified BuyerLooks great, works great! Easy to install. We’ve had it for a few months and no issues.5
Defective paintMaryWe ordered this for our kitchen renovation. When it arrived we noticed that the black paint was not there in sections. We returned it and bought another one assuming this was just a damaged item. The second one was installed and a month later we notice the paint has disintegrated around the base. There is a definite quantity issue with the paint on this item.1
Looks great, works greatWendyMy husband (who has put in many faucets) had no problem replacing our old faucet with this one. It looks good in our Ikea kitchen.5

Saving water at every step

Every time you rinse salad, fill a kettle or wash dishes, you're helping with something essential—saving water. How? Thanks to the small aerator in every IKEA kitchen faucet that reduces water flow while maintaining pressure. We didn't invent aerators, but think they are an important example of how we can work together to save water for everyone's benefit.

Four years ago, we started a project to improve our faucets and knew we needed more expertize. That's when we hired Antony Smith, an engineer from England who has worked with faucets for more than a decade. Now he lives in Sweden and is part of a small team that develops faucets and showers for IKEA. Like every new employee, Antony read founder Ingvar Kamprad's Testament of a Furniture Dealer. In it, Ingvar writes 'wasting resources is a mortal sin at IKEA.' This helped Antony understand how much we care about water and how his job is just one step in our larger approach to sustainability.

A company-wide dedication

"When I got to IKEA, I realized we practice what we preach about sustainability," Antony says. "It's a refreshing experience, but it makes our job really difficult because we genuinely have to deliver on sustainability with each product." So why is conserving water so important? Because water is one of our planet's most precious resources. Earth may be covered in a lot of water, but very little of it is drinkable and even less is accessible. No organism can survive without it, and no new water is created. It's constantly recycled, but our freshwater supply is overused; not evenly distributed; and impacted by pollution, contamination and climate change.

A water-conscious commitment

IKEA values the quality and quantity of water so much that we are committed to being water positive by 2020. One aspect is finding simple ways for people to conserve water. Aerators are a step we took long before our water commitment, but Antony and his team are working hard on new water saving faucets using sensors or spray technology. Behind the scenes, there's more to our commitment than what we develop for kitchens. Our initiative also includes exploring ways to improve water efficiency across the whole product process, whether it’s at our suppliers, distribution centers or stores. It can mean providing factory workers and their families with fresh drinking water, ensuring all factory water is cleaned before release, reducing water usage in textile production or using rainwater to flush toilets in stores. "We make things hard on ourselves for good reasons, Antony says."

An every-bit-counts belief

See why the aerator in your kitchen faucet is a small part of our bigger effort to conserve water? "Some people who live where you can just turn on your faucet and get water may not really think about saving water; it's taken for granted," Antony says. But he and his team think about water at every step. It's part of creating a positive impact on people and the planet. We think every water-saving action adds up and thank you for helping with your kitchen mixer faucet!

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
