You can stream music, podcasts, and radio via WiFi without interruptions from phone calls or notifications. The music keeps playing even when your phone or tablet is not around.

Supports all of the major music streaming subscription services.

All SYMFONISK speakers connect over WiFi so you can create the system you want in your home. Play a podcast in the bedroom while someone else listens to music in the living room, or group all your speakers to play music in sync.

You can group two or more SYMFONISK speakers together so they play the same content in sync and you can control the volume of individual speakers in the group.

You can choose to hang it on its own on the wall as an eye-catcher, match it with your other pictures on a wall, place it on the floor or lean it against a wall.

Available with a white or black frame and with different interchangeable fronts, so you can choose the style that suits you and your home.

AmazingSavannahI don’t ever write reviews but this speaker is seriously something special. It’s our new party trick for guests that have never been over before to our home. Highly recommend getting one of the other “skin” options that sell that it’s not a speaker an instead a painting. One of my favorite buys this year.5

Sound quality is nice but...GINA W.My son purchased two of these speakers for our new house. One in the den and the other in the office. The sound quality is impressive. However, it keeps dropping the music after a few minutes. Then can't reconnect. It just says connecting. It will then drop from the device list as well. Once it resets it will appear again. But hasn't been able to maintain paying the music without dropping again.3

Frame reviewOlga C.Love the sleek look and sound but something weird is happening to the screen. I purchased the white framed speaker in October and the honeycomb pattern of the speaker is starting to show through on the white screen. It’s very odd because it’s only happening on the top right corner. I wish I could load a photo. I’m not sure how I can remedy the issue. Maybe I need a new screen?4

Nice quality speaker and looks great, poor software integration with AlexaMeganI would give this 5 stars for sound quality and appearance if I didn't purchase this as a device that would fit into my existing Amazon Alexa smarthome system. The initial integration with between the Symfonisk speaker and Alexa worked great - but now I have to disconnect and reconnect the speaker every time I want to use an Alexa command to play music. The speaker has no issues with the Sonos app, so if that is all that you want to use to play music then this would work for you.3
Absolutely breath takingKyle O.The sound is amazing. I bought in a pair and I have them in an extremely large room. The bass is bold the treble is crisp and they go extremely loud with no distortion. Pretty easy to set up. One of them gave me a little bit of a hard time but overall very easy and I love the sonos app so far. Totally worth the money and really adds character to the room. Added to my current line upDaniel G.So I’ve become a sucker for Sonos products and seeing this, I had to have and now I need to get a 2nd! Stand-alone Sonos speakers are generally for music and not tv enable. The only way to use these products with a tv is in conjunction with a soundbar. You can group them, and it’ll work that way. Don’t hesitate buying this frame solely for music though. It’s excellent and a change from actual speakers. I own both Sonos ones and the frame which I put in my gaming room. I would buy the lamps but thinking of adding frames into my bedroom as I have a decent set of lamps already. Overall excellent purchase, easy set up through Sonos app and run the true play! You won’t regret5

A picture frame speaker that blends art with music

What role does music play in your life? Do you belong to the 74% who feel that music reduces stress? Or the ones who think certain songs mean more to creativity than a cup of coffee? There are plenty of studies that show that music makes people feel good, and together with Sonos, we’ve further developed our SYMFONISK series – WiFi speakers that make sound a part of your home.

“Sonos are experts in sound experience, and at IKEA we have deep knowledge in home furnishing and life at home. It’s a really good combination to help more people enjoy streamed music and podcasts without speakers that steal space,” says Stjepan Begic who’s been part of the collaboration around SYMFONISK. “We challenge each other and find new solutions. Like the combined picture frame and WiFi speaker – none of us would have been able to develop it on our own.

Tech that blends in

But, how can a thin picture that blends in with other art on your wall generate stunning sound? Sara Morris, Senior Principal Product Manager at Sonos, explains: ”By working together with the designers we were able to keep the thin edge of the picture frame while hiding a deeper acoustic volume behind it. Together with a waveguide, this let us make big room filling sound from what looks like a thin speaker.” Like all other SYMFONISK speakers, the picture frame can be integrated with Sonos speakers and become a part of a bigger sound system.
