When your child is in the diaper stage, fix the leaf to the changing table in the folded down position using the included fitting. Safe for your baby and peace of mind for you.

When your child is past the diaper stage, you can fold in the leaf and fix it in place with the included fitting and then use the piece of furniture as a chest of drawers for many years to come.

  • Different wall materials require different types of hardware. The included screws are suitable for wooden materials, and the wall plugs can be used for plaster, concrete, or masonry. Follow the instructions for the wall type in your home.

    We recommend that you use a changing pad with dimensions that fit the changing table and which is max. ¾" thick. Place the changing pad in the middle of the changing surface.

Changing top size not as-advertised - will not fit standard changing padJames K.This unit looks great and was reasonably easy to assemble. (The other reviews stating mis-aligned holes may have had some pieces backwards, as there are multiple panels that look almost identical, with the exception of holes in slightly different places...) BUT - it advertises the top as being 83cm long by 79cm wide. That is NOT the case. Fully assembled, the top is actually about 80cm by 77cm. (And no, it's not an assembly error... everything looks and works great and all the pieces are flush. It's just smaller than advertised.) The net result is that it WILL NOT fit a standard changing pad, even though the dimensions indicate it should. It will only fit the Ikea changing pad, which is smaller than industry standard size. We're returning it because we already have all of our changing supplies, and we're not going to re-buy Ikea equivalents just to fit the new table! Which is a shame, because this is a great looking piece of furniture. But stated dimensions are not accurate.2
Very niceTracieI really like this changing table. I gave it only 4 stars because some of the pre-drilled holes did not match causing a little delay in assembly. But other than that, it wasn't hard to put together and it looks great finished.4

Nice and sturdy changing table.OMARIt is well built and solid. I wish it was all solid pine, but I knew there was fiberboard parts when I bought it so I can complain about that. What I can complain about is parts where pre drilled holes do not line up. It is frustrating and I can't just "take it back" the closest Ikea store is 90minutes away.3

The good news is that SUNDVIK changing table has been given reinforced hinges, a higher load-bearing capacity, and a thicker bottom and sides that make it even more stable. All these improvements mean that the product weighs a little more, so now you have to bring home two packages instead of one. In return, you get a safe piece of furniture that you can transform into a practical chest of drawers when your child is past the diaper stage.
