Product details

A light warm, easy-care comforter in soft, dobby woven cotton and a hollow fiber filling from recycled sources.

The soft, light fibers keep their volume and insulation ability, allowing your body to breathe and maintain an even temperature throughout the night.

Panel stitched with intermediate walls to keep the filling in place, which distributes warmth evenly.

A good choice if you often feel warm while sleeping.

The comforter is machine-washable at 140°F/60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

The duvet is sold in a cotton drawstring bag so you can roll it up and pack it away when not in use. You can also use the bag as a laundry tote or for storing other personal belongings.

Too Small & ScratchyErin P.I was so excited to finally receive this comforter, but it’s a bust. After one wash (in my XL capacity front loader) the material feels scratchy and several spots are tearing. Also, it’s waaaay too small. The dimensions say 86” tall (king), but I just spread the comforter out on the living room floor and measured it. The 86” edge is only 80.5”. I’m not going to bother measuring the other side…it’s going back. I wish IKEA would stop manufacturing such poor textiles. I’ve been a loyal IKEA shopper for years, but the bedding quality is getting worse and worse. In this case, I purchased a king comforter, and it’s practically the size of a king mattress topper.1
perfect on a cool eveningJOANvery cozy5
Way to smallSTACYI bought this for my king size bed. It is way to short on the sides. Doesn’t even come close to covering the sides of the mattress at least 4 inches on each side too short. Why call it a king if it doesn’t fit a king. Annoyed at how much I spent on this because I will not be using it or buying any future bedding from ikea.1
GoodKimberlyThis is the perfect light in weight and not so hot blanket for someone who likes to cover but is hot.5

Great ComfortWENDYI love this product. I run very hot while sleeping, and this just keeps me very comfortable. I do not wake up hot at all. This is perfect for my partner who runs cold. We also don't like heavy blankets, so this has great weight.5

The Best!PATI’ve used many of your quilts - in fact I try to keep 4 on hand - 2 for warm weather and 2 for winter months. They were getting well loved - so I decided to get a new one. I love it! It’s so fluffy, warm and cool both.5
Duvet InsertKiraVery comfortable, I enjoy the semi-cool one I bought.5
Good qualityKatherineThis is much cheaper than duvets from other stores and very good quality. The “light warm” is more than warm enough for me, would be too hot if it were any warmer.5
Awesome duvetAlexandraThe only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that it would be fantastic if Ikea would put loops on the corners that could attach to loops inside the duvet cover. That would make it much easier to make the bed, and decrease the amount of "wrestling" with the various pieces.4
Perfect weightJOANNEI really like this comforter. It’s not too hot, not too cool. I wish it were a little bigger. The King size is a little too small for my bed.4

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable and renewable fiber that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry. By only using recycled cotton or cotton from more sustainable sources, working with partnerships and initiatives on the ground and prioritizing compliance, we believe that we can make a positive impact in the world of cotton.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labor, child labor or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

Material

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
