CHILDREN HAZARDKAI H.I purchased a stall shoe stand which does NOT come with a nail that can be used to attach to the wall. As a result, I had to rest the stand/cabinet by the wall and then looking for the nail meanwhile. Without my notice, my toddler tried to open the drawer and the stand fell onto him. It fell onto his leg and he cried immediately. Luckily he is fine and normal, but it's such a HUGE Hazard. Could you provide the nail WITHIN the INSTALLATION KIT so that it can be done at the same time? The step was listed at step 22 yet NO TOOL WAS GIVEN.1
PerfectParisChic, hides unsightly shoes, plenty of storage and not too big. Very shallow doesn't stick out far...Love this thing5
Not for wet/snowy shoesRebecca G.We bought this for our backdoor to keep our shoes accessible but out of sight. 2 months in and it is already warping/bubbling from slightly wet shoes. We’d wipe our shoes off on the rug, but it appears that if there is the smallest amount of water or snow left, the product won’t hold up. I am a little disappointed as I would think a product made for shoes would be a little more resistant to these things2
Great item. Perfect for ourKIERAGreat item. Perfect for our space. It was worth driving from Seattle to Portland to pick it up!5
Great storage standGisselaWe got a second stahl to put our shoes and it was very easy to put together. It holds all of our shoes and it’s narrow enough to fit on our entrance. Love it.5
Hello I received the productMariaHello I received the product broken, i have to send the pictures beacuase i want my refund, terrible product1
great for a mudroomWAYNEInstalled it in my mudroom to get rid of the shoe build up from when you come in the house. It was 1" too wide so I scribed the moulding and caulked in the whole thing. Looks custom and great!5
STÄLL Shoe RackRubenI absolutely love these. They look great. I have two of these side by side. The only complaint that I have is that they can be packaged better. I have slight damage on both (chips, paint).5
Clean, Simple, and SlimLYNNI looked all over the internet and came back to IKEA who really had the best, most efficient design.5
Nice slim profile. Each cabinetEmilyNice slim profile. Each cabinet holds 2 adult pairs or serval children's pairs of shoes.5
The Perfect PieceNedraMy husband loves it. It fit perfectly in the spot I had purchased it for. I love the minimalist look of it.4
Cabinets WarpCareyFI bought 2 of these cabinets about 2 years ago for our main hallway and they are no longer functional. They do get use, but not excessive. Both cabinets have warped and are sagging in the middle and the bins no longer pull in/out smoothly. I love the look and function, but not sure how much more life these have. Disappointed.1
Hard to assemble but works greatDan2700Assembling takes more than 1 hour. It works great in my apartment. I love the size of the shoes organizer.5
Perfect sizeleann97We bought this a couple weeks ago. We don’t have space for a mud room but this works wonders for shoes and leashes!5
Nice piece!Meg1963Bought this for a small entryway. It looks sleek and stylish! So many uses. Thinking of buying another for my bedroom closet. I put this together by myself - female/50s - and had no problem. Although it did take a while.5
Great features!TecusitaIm so happy with this product!5
Wonderful for small mud roomGerfins4Love the item. “But” I must say it is not WHITE it’s like an off white next to my white floor boards. Like to hear from ikea why. I live 1 1/2 hours away from the store so will not be returning it to the store. Plus I love the product. So this is my story.5
Great way to hide some shoesDpa230This fits perfect for a small space. It only holds about 8 pairs of shoes. Men’s shoes not so well. Woman have the smaller feet and my shoes are perfect for it. I would tell you to buy but if men’s shoes are more than a size 10 then pass and maybe the bigger size one will work.5
Koko2019For 3 months use, very satisfied.5
Julie3264Easy to put together. Seems sturdy. I’m hoping the plastic shoe holders hold up5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
