Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.

Maintenance: With simple, regular maintenance your floor decking will last longer. Color changes, small cracks and a dry surface are signs that it is time to re-glaze.

Safety and compliance

Wood contains tannic acid which, after a time, can leak out and discolor the sub-floor. Never lay wooden decking on a surface where it would matter if this happened.

Some good, some not so good, some really badMarkThe good. We recently bought the dark grey Runnen. They look great and seem impervious to heat/sun. The not so good: 3 years ago I bought more than 25 boxes of the acacia runnen for our large balcony. It looked beautiful. After a year the nearby ocean had them start to fade, so i restained and water-proofed them. A year later some cracks appeared. After three years many are starting to disintegrate. It's a shame but I'm going to have to trash them. The really bad. The fake grass Runnen are almost impossible to click together. I bought them to be below a shelf of plants. In the most bizarre fashion the "grass" top has moved on the base of almost every tile, exposing an inch or two of the plastic base. It was never possible to get them to be more that a bunch of ill-fitting fake grass tiles. Avoid like the plague.1

Gorgeous so far- but how will it hold up?KeleighThis is meant to be a few years solution for us and I am very curious as to how it will hold up through change in seasons/time. So far it is absolutely gorgeous. Our porch was covered in carpet.. yes.. and then we were left with adhesive on concrete. We plan to redo this entire section of house eventually so putting this floor down was a great solution for a cozy, clean space!5

Great first year lookRomanMany of the reviews are written in the first month or so and do not address the condition a year or more after purchase. I purchased 75 boxes in Oct 2021 and after the winter I had to stain the wooden tiles in May of 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025. The good news is that the wood lasted 4yrs but yearly staining is necessary for them to look great. Now after 4yrs, they are splitting/breaking off the plastic structured base. Make your plans with that timeline in mind.3
