GREAT affordable comfortable chair!AnonymousI've wanted a Poäng Rocking Chair for a long time, and I finally bought one. I got the brown/black wood with a brown leather cushion. I'm 75 years old, but I assembled it myself. Assembly was totally straightforward except for the two threaded inserts used with extra long screws to stabilize the crosspiece under the front cushion. It took me a while to realize that one end of each threaded insert has a slot so a flat-head screwdriver can be used to position it to receive the screw. Once I saw that and utilized it, everything else was a breeze. This is an incredibly comfortable chair, and very stylish too. I'm totally happy with this rocking chair!5

PoangMaryBought two of these chairs today. One went together perfectly, no issues. The other one has misaligned screw holes. Now we have to drive all the way back, more gas and exchange. Not what I wanted to do on my 2 days off. The one chair seem comfortable, but I just bought it. I have back issues so it helps with lumbar support. Just not happy to have to go back and exchange the other chair.3

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
