Cushions went lumpy after first sittingReganI really wanted to like this as it was washable. We replaced an Ikea set that we enjoyed for several years. It seems like the quality went down. The Parup set was not as comfortable from day one and continually got worse. We are not overweight. We tried rotating the cushions, but that did not work. We are not heavy people but the cushions indented right away and then they felt bumpy. The fabric was nice, and held up well. It was the same fabric as our first set. We are happy Ikea has such a nice easy return process as they were brought back.
this couch is my arch nemesisBriannaI am not kidding when I say this couch is so wildly uncomfortable that it’s all I can think of while sitting on it. Every movie night, every T.V. show binge, every cozy reading day is tainted by the thought “Gee, I wish I had a better couch.”.
I bought it about 3 years ago when it was all I could afford. I live in a tiny apartment, and it fit the space great. The removable/washable covers come in fun colors and are super convenient to swap out & clean. That is the only plus to this couch.
The cushions are extremely stiff & lumpy - I thought they’d break in over time however they are just as stiff as they were day 1.
The arms are also stiff and hard. The couch itself is pretty low & shallow, causing my knees to ache after about 1hr of sitting on it normally.
If you actually plan on using this couch like a couch is intended to be used - DO NOT BUY IT. If you plan on buying it just to throw in a spare room for looks - knock yourself out.

The little sofa that could!G.I absolutely love this sofa! It is a fairly narrow loveseat that feels sturdy and has a great cover that can be changed-out rather easily.
Think about it, you can literally buy four or five different sofa covers and switch them out every season!
This was a bit tougher to build than other IKEA furniture, but the instructions were reasonable and it does suggest for two people to do it. I built it by myself, which is probably why I felt it was a little difficult. Still, if one person can build it, two will surely get it done rather quickly.
Mind, you, the foams and cushions aren’t exactly top-notch quality, but they are well-made and are holding their shape very well. The sofa is very comfortable to sit and lay on.
I was, and still am, pleasantly surprised by this loveseat. This sofa is priced by the color. Go buy it! :-)
It is uncomfortableLizeth AlondraI loved the color (beige) and the form. It's been over a month since I have it, and generally, it is comfortable for 1 hour. The cushion's structure/form is already deforming. Is not what I expected. Looks cute tho, but the cushions are getting more crushed with the slight use. It was "easy" to assemble, except for a step (we spent 40 minutes) that was difficult to put into practice.
UncomfortableAndrewI’ve found this sofa to be uncomfortable. The back cushions are weak and provide little support. I’ve never been prone to back pain, but it actually hurts my back to sit on it for a few minutes.
ParupKaylahThis is a very cute couch.. but the cushions wear fast and the arms are very uncomfortable.. needs accent pillows for comfort and you will probbaly have to add your own fluff to keep your couch from looking flat
Outstanding Value!CharlesWe were huge fans of the couches the Uppland series replaced.. not impressed with the Uppland's quality or it's new dimensions. After sitting in multiple IKEA couches I decided the Parup was the closest to what our family of 8 would enjoy. Reading the reviews I felt I was taking a bit of a gamble. This couch was far sturdier than the $800 couch I tried first from a competitor. All the bars on the Parup are made of metal and it was very simple to assemble (just wait to tighten everything). We ended up purchasing the couch and 2 love seats and love them. The upholstery material is both soft and tough. The heathered canvas material is a pleasing light color with character. Packing was superb and all 3 couches came in flawless condition (even here in podunk cowboy Texas), thank you IKEA! The 2 vs. 3 cushion design is better for 2-4 people on the couch and it's minimalist design affords more sitting room with a smaller footprint. Highly recommend.

Assembly wasn’t bad and was doable by one but two would be way easier, like anything, just take your time.
I have it in my home office and it’s an ideal second work spot, spot to read, or to hang out with the dog while on a call.
Fine for the priceLoriThis little loveseat is fine for an inexpensive option. It won't get heavy use in our house and I would not recommend it for a space where it will be used heavily. The pillows mash easily and the fabric doesn't go all the way under on the bottom, exposing a little seam. But with a couple of cute throw pillows, it's nice for a room that doesn't need a big, sturdy sofa.
