Very Brittle Furniture.RichardWorst purchase ever. Spent over $470 on this drawer set. All the drawers fell apart within the year. Never purchasing another item from IKEA.1
Looks really goodAaronThis nordli dresser has great looks and good weight to it but that is where the good part of this product ends. Assembly was self explanatory but i constantly had to keep cleaning the channels on most pieces because whoever manufactured it did not really do their due diligence to ensure the channels and pre drilled holes were clean cut. To add to it all the tolerances we're pretty terrible. Sub par at best. Once it was all assembled it's nothing but issues. The self closing mechanism is too far back to the point where it doesn't really do much. The drawers do not seat flush. Two corners will sit flush of you are lucky. For the same price of one of these dressers you can find one that is decently built. Just can't recommend this product. Ikea should definitely test this product and make changes.2
Finish came right offJulieDon't get the anthracite, I've only had this set two days and the finish already has white marks and scrapes from tiniest little bump or brush. Spent hundreds of dollars for a finish that can't withstand mild use out of the box. Disappointed.1
Good dresser!EmilyOnce you get the first drawer put together and figure out those directions that part is really easy! The base and top/ getting the drawers stacked and screwed together is a little bit harder because of the multiple configurations possible in the directions. Basically took a whole day with breaks in between. But it looks very nice and the drawers close really smoothly.5

This Nordli was a typicalEdThis Nordli was a typical IKEA build. Really easy on the overall to put together. Tolerances not as good as other IKEA products I have put together and a little disappointed in that3
The worst part of thisCarmenThe worst part of this was waiting for it to be in stock. Otherwise pleased with the purchase.5
Modernly appealingJohnWe bought this for its nice, sleek, modern design, as well as the many combinations that it comes in. Very easy to assemble. The only issue was it's availability. It is a very hot ticket item. Although the drawers are usually in, there needs to be more stock of the top/bottom pieces.4
Nice drawers and smooth drawer tracksDeniseThis is a beautiful chest. The assembly was a little tricky on the first two-drawer unit but after the first one was assembled, each section got easier and easier. I'm a pro now. : )5
Lots of spaceVerified BuyerWas looking for something that will hold enough for my boyfriend and i.5
Love itVerified BuyerI love this dresser! I needed a big dresser to put my clothes in because I was rearranging my closet with a new system. I got the 39.5 inch high dresser. The drawers are really wide, 28 inches, and I was able to fit everything from my existing dresser in half of this dresser. I have lots of room for my clothes and more! It took my husband a few hours to put it together so either have patience or hire someone to do it.5
Clean look, aesthetically pleasingAliyahI love this dresser & the way it looks, it really ties the whole room together. Clean & sleek. Only downfall is that it’s a complete pain in the butt to put together. Once you get past the base it gets easier but it nearly took us 4 hrs with two people to put it together. Save yourself the time & have the movers put it together for you.4
Works for a faux walk-in closetVerified BuyerI purchased this because I needed drawer space for a faux walk-in closet area. I love the soft-close drawers! It was relatively easy to assemble once you get the hang of it - but the first section may take you about an hour or so. Pro-tip: set up and assembly line the drawers! My only complaint is the drawer attaching system is a PAIN to hook the drawers in. If you mis-aligned anything, you'll be wiggling and adjusting until they're straight.5
AwesomeMaricelaWe love it and I’m going to buy another one!!5
3 Words about this product: Modern, Sleek, DurableVerified BuyerFirst of all, if you are planning on buying this, be aware that you will be putting together 4 SEPARATE 2-drawer dresser, and then you basically will be stacking them on top of the 63-inch base. The first set of drawers will be difficult to put together, but once you get the first set down, the other 3 will be easier. Best part: your mistakes are easy to fix! just unscrew and put things in the right place. The drawers are very wide, and I love that because I can store all of my stuff in there. In fact, I have empty drawers just waiting to be filled. Also another great thing: the drawers don't slam!! The close and slide in so silently. That's why I picked these instead of another chest of drawers. I hate that loud slamming sound.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
