Product details

You can adjust the shelves to fit different things, and adjust them again whenever you need to. Adjustable shelves help you use your space more efficiently.

Extra room above the top shelf where you can keep your books, CDs or DVDs. The side panels act as bookends and keep everything in place.

It’s easy to keep sockets and cables out of sight but close at hand with the cable outlet at the back.

You can mount the storage unit to the right or left, according to your space or preference.

Air ventilates effectively around your computer or other equipment because of an opening in the back panel.

Drawer stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far.

You can extend your work surface by combining desks and drawer units. All desks and drawer units in the MICKE series are the same height.

We want to have a positive impact on the planet. That is why by 2030, we want all materials in our products to be recycled or renewable, and sourced in responsible ways.

The right amount of room in our small spaceNaomiThis desk was just the right size for the room we were putting it in. It didn't take up much space but wasn't too small. I love that the storage can be put on either side!5
2022- make it faster to put together our furnitureCARLOSI wish we have a faster way to put this together. Don't get me wrong it's easy. But took so much time. My family has been buying furniture since I could remember in Fontana, CA. Same way to design. Let's figure out how to install them faster.5
Love it!SUZETTEI love the quality, it's just the right size for my space. I also love that it has the magnet board so I can hang my reminders and I love the drawers and the shelves.5
NO INSTRUCTIONS !!!!Kenia V.Hard to assemble , came with no instructions . Super annoying ! Wouldn’t recommend !!1
Perfect desk for my small spaceLisa B.I have an awkward small space in my living room and I wanted to replace my old ugly desk that I'd had for many years. This one fits the bill. It's very nice-looking - not cheap-looking at all. Fairly easy to build - just take your time and carefully follow the directions. It's also very sturdy.5
Nice little deskAlexLooks great in person. I went with the black/brown because white looked like a kids desk. I needed a desk for my computer with some drawers and shelving and this is working out for me. As for assembly, it’s intimidating looking at all the pieces layed out and the instructions are kinda vague. Just take your time and don’t rush the process.5
A bit upset.Eliana S.I love this design, but i really dislike that there were no words on the instructions. I also ordered the all black one and got some white pieces, and i’m confused on how that even works. Other then that it was alright.2
Perfect!LisaThis desk has everything I want and need - drawers, shelves, and a hutch!5

It looks good, but qualityKHATIMAIt looks good, but quality is not good as expected2
Nice deskRosemaryBought this desk for my teenage daughter. Relatively easy to assemble. (My daughter put it together herself.) It’s not super bulky & the desk fits the space perfectly.4
Great Desk for My WFH NeedsDAVIDThis desk offers ample storage space and is perfect for my WFH set up in my small Brooklyn bedroom. My only complaint is that after the drawers were built, it felt like I was going to have to break them to get them on the tracking I installed. Once they were literally forced in, they work perfectly. I just hope I never have to fully remove them for any reason.4
DeskJOANNEVery nice desk, just some hole for srews are missing or not in line4
School deskJeffreyIt would be easier to assemble, if they labeled the pieces .5
Love itClaudiaGreat desk and spacious.5
Good deskRACHELLEI recently purchased two of these desks, I don't have much trouble with putting Ikea items together BUT there is an interesting issue I didn't expect. The hutch of this desk is only attached along the back of the desk, no bracing or attachment to the top of the desk. If you push on the hutch, which I did while moving it into postion, you have the potential to rip out the screws from the back. This unit needs to be up against a wall for this reason. I may E6000 a couple spots to the desktop itself to help prevent this from happening in the future. The cabinet door rubs when it is opened and closed, but too soon to tell if it will cause any damage. Overall, I'm happy with the desks. In my experience my Ikea items have lasted 10+yrs, so looking forward to having these follow trend.4
Difficult to assemble, poor qualitySteven F.Very difficult to assemble, and when coupled with the pressboard, breaks easily. Needed to add wood glue and brackets to keep it gogether.1

Love my Micke DeskLindaI purchased this Desk to use as my make-up/computer desk. It is a great price and works perfectly for me. I added a mirror & lights.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light and resource-efficient, yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
