You can easily remove the plug in the bottom if you want to plant directly in the pot. Excess water drains away thanks to the design of the pot’s underlying side.
The powder-coated metal is lightweight and makes the pot easy to handle, care for and keep clean.
Frost-resistant; can be standing outdoors at temperatures below zero if emptied of soil or covered.

Well made. 5 stars, but for the damaged item they shippedPimI liked the look of this pot, so I ordered it online. The box arrived intact, but the pot was dented all over the place. One dent was huge, one was large, and one had occurred when something inside it had dented it. Since there was nothing inside it, clearly, the pot was already damaged when it was put into the box. I went online for a replacement and the email I got back from IKEA seemed to indicate that I had to drive 3 hours and 39 minutes one way to the nearest IKEA in Stoughton, MA, to get it replaced. Fortunately, I went deeper into the IKEA website and discovered that I might be able to get a replacement through the customer service center. I called the number, got a wonderful IKEA employee on the phone and after sending her some photos, she shipped a new one to my home. Long story short, the pot is a wonderful product, but the person who put that pot in the box should get their eyes checked.

Tall and ModernAnneThis planter is powder coated metal. My plant looks fabulous in this modern and durable plant pot. I will go back and get the shorter version as well. It looks so good in my living room.
