Product details

Each table has its own unique character due to the distinctive grain pattern.

The ash veneer table surface and solid birch legs add a warm, natural feeling to your room

Ash is a naturally durable material. The surface has been made even more hard-wearing by a protective coat of lacquer, which also helps it keep its natural wood feel.

Easy to assemble as each leg has only one screw.

Drawer stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far.

The drawer fits laptops up to 14”.

Suitable for small roomTatsuyaMy room is small but this is suitable for such a small room. Additionally it’s a good texture. Speaking of “simple is the best “, this is the best, In my opinion.5
Exactly what we wantedRebeccaWe wanted a functional and beautiful table for remote work, and this table met our expectations! It is wide enough for a monitor and laptop, is sleek and beautiful, and can be moved easily. It is also multi purpose. Stable and easy to put together. Very happy with this choice.5
Simple, solid desk.DARRENThis is the easiest assembling desk I have ever found. The geometry of the legs makes it more stable than a typical desk. I got one of these for one of my sons, both of whom are ... hard on their furniture. It did so well, I just put together a second one for his (even more accidentally destructive) little brother.5
FunctionalDougEasy to assemble. Minimal, simple , clean. I think painting the legs might make it even more cool. Most likely will keep for a few years until IKEA designs something else 💚💙4
Great work deskMIKEVery solid, perfect size for the space we needed it for. Fits both my laptop and desktop computers along with keyboard and mouse, and still has plenty of room for my coffee coaster.5
Not that nicePrestonExpected something better, really disappointed. Trying to figure out a time to drive the 4 hours to be able to return it to the closest Ikea1
Great tableMARTALove this. Very easy to put together.5
Perfect sizeHaleyI thought it would be a *bit* darker but it’s still nice. It’s the perfect size for my small studio apartment.5
Nice designAPRILEasier to install compare to other Ikea product..5
I love the simplicity andJoanaI love the simplicity and it does not take too much space in my child’s room. Perfect for homework.5
Beautiful desk.CecilyBeautiful desk.5
Beautiful piece of furniturePamelaBeautiful piece of furniture5
Major WFH upgrademilesofLove this desk because it's dimensions are not too deep and has a drawer, which has freed up a lot of space in my tiny WFH music studio corner. The material is high-quality too and feels like it will last a lifetime. The design looks way more expensive than it is. Also, the SIGNUM cable management fits perfectly if you screw it onto wood frame of the drawer.5
Great compact desk!dianakov325its a nice and sturdy desk. took about 20 mins to assemble and looks great! very happy with my purchase5
great looking and just the right sizeLisalumeisterit was very easy to assemble by myself and i was b]very happy to see much less plastic than i expected. A beautiful design with solid materials. so glad we bought it to provide another work from home station.5
MairnePerfect for my need as an art table. Well made1
Leg length discrepancy, but otherwise decent.RiskyRonThis is a decent small desk for occasional work. It's simple and well priced for the quality. The drawer is very much optional and it looks complete with or without it. As a taller person of 6' 2, I opted to lose the drawer and gain the leg space. Without the drawer, I find the top to be at a comfortable height with plenty of clearance underneath. I did have a very minor ding in the surface of the table but it's not obvious. This is by far the fastest assembly of any IKEA furniture I've experiences, it takes no more than 2 minutes. The one issue I did have is that one of the legs was a little shorter in height and the desk therefore wobbled. Having put a furniture pad under that one leg, the desk is stable and when I have the time (and the transport) I may take the leg in to the store and see if they will exchange it without having to haul the whole thing in. The discrepancy is a bit of a shame, because generally I choose the relative inconvenience of IKEA (given that I don't have a large vehicle) versus ordering random furniture online because I expect that IKEA will at least have a reliable and consistent manufacturing standard. Of 8 items purchased in the last month, 3 of them have had minor issues. Thankfully, it's always minor things that can be addressed relatively easily versus hauling everything back to a store for replacement.4
Perfect. Style and sizeJulieD9I bought this to go behind my apartment size sofa and it's the perfect size and I love the drawer for storing office supplies. Perfect!5
Great Fit to My RoomyuksI bought this table today and built it in less than an hour. The assembly was very easy, although I would suggest using a power drill instead of a screw driver (it won't be as tiring as screwing everything in). But I, a 16 year old, did it with a screw driver and it went very smoothly. I was actually hesitant about buying this table because of some of the bad reviews, but this table fits perfectly into my room. I wanted a table long enough so I could open my textbooks and notebooks at the same time, and not too wide because that would make my room looks much spacier than it is. I looked everywhere for a long and not too wide table but found nothing, and I came back to this Lisabo. When it was showcased in IKEA it was quite wobbly and dirty, but mine looked great when I built it, so that was something good to not. However I noticed a small crack in the drawer. The crack was quite mild and somewhere out of sight so I'm not too concerned about it. One thing I'd like to add, is that the drawer gets a bit stuck when trying to pull it out. I'm sure it's because its wood slid into wood instead of a metal roller. I think I'll just have to get used to that or find a way so it slides better! But other than that, this product looks and feels amazing and is worth a lot for its price!!4

Sustainable life at home

Handcrafted feeling, modern technique

LISABO table has an organic shape and bevelled edges, a design that previously could only be made with solid wood. We wanted to find a more environmentally friendly and less expensive solution and developed a technique using solid wood around the edges and wood slats inside the table top. The construction makes the table very strong, so you can use it for many years. The natural beauty comes through thanks to a specially developed lacquer that also makes the surface durable. A real wood feeling and a unique table – without time-consuming upkeep!

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Designer thoughts

"The idea behind LISABO was to create a series with the distinct feeling of wood, a floating expression and durable, easy to assemble construction. The round shapes and slanted edges create a hand-crafted look and we chose a matte lacquer on the ash veneer so the furniture will keep its natural wood feel. Each piece in the series work beautifully together or individually.”
