The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fiberboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

  • This table top is suitable to use with legs, trestles, and storage units from our table bar range. It´s not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like BEKANT, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Surface easily chipsDawn D.I purchased two of these tabletops in the LAGKAPTEN Tabletop, gray/turquoise, the first set I had delivered, both were damaged upon delivery, so I had to drive to the store to return them. Purchased two new ones, and after one day of use I can see that the edges are starting to chip away. This has not been my experience in the past with Ikea tabletops, my last one was at least 8 years old. I will be returning them, hopefully the other finishes aren't chipping like the new gray/turquoise option.2
Easily Scratched/Peeling on Day 1Madison G.I was really excited for this desk but on day 1 the grid pattern has chipped all the way off the edges of the desk. I'm so confused about why the edges of it were not sealed or something. But it chips so easily as if it was painted on. I really like the grid pattern but may return for the simple white top due to the cheapness of the grid pattern. I gave it 2 stars because the quality seems durable other than that.2
