Product details

The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fiberboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

  • This table top is suitable to use with legs, trestles, and storage units from our table bar range. It´s not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like BEKANT, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

    Care

    Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

    Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

    For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

  • This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

Poor qualityAbbyThis desktop is very light and easy to maneuver for installation. However, after a few months of use as my work-from-home desktop, it already has chips all over the edges and top. It is made of a very poor material, or is poorly painted. Either way - save your money and get something else that will last longer than this.2
Paint chips off easilyPamelaThese are painted and the color chips off very easily. Within 2 days there were small bits of the white paint missing from the surface. Plus they are hollow core for the most part (cardboard honeycomb) which makes them light but you cannot screw into them but for a very few areas that are reinforced.1

Tabletop is NOT the same size as the Alex drawers!OliviaBe careful and measure the Alex drawers you have, because the tabletop I ordered was about 6 inches deeper than mine. (That means that when I'm seated at the desk, the top sticks out 6 inches towards my stomach if the drawers are flush against the wall.) Some people may want the larger size, but I didn't. It never occurred to me that there'd be a tabletop that didn't fit exactly, so I focused on the width measurement, not the depth. Otherwise it's a fine product.4
