My wife and I absolutely love this bed framewadedabbsMy wife and I have had this bed frame for about a year. I feel that all Ikea furniture looks nice and there is only one question most people have when looking at reviews on here, so I'll go ahead and answer that question. THIS BED IS ROCK SOLID! If anyone says otherwise, they didn't put it together correctly. It did take some time to put together, but it is was easy. We are about to buy another one for our airbnb because it's just that good.5
Nice lines, Clean Look but Study the Assembly bookLLB74I didn't intend for the title of my review to rhyme, however it does and it works. I purchased this bed out of necessity, and it was the simplest in form that I can find without spending a lot of money on an antique bed. All of the assembly was fairly straightforward except you want to really look at the left and right runner boards (so to speak) to make sure they are going the correct direction. The headboard has a certain notch in each of these pieces and if you have them backwards, which is easy to do because they almost look identical in the instruction manual, you will have to take the entire thing apart and start over. When I say that it is painstakingly slow to assemble, I am referring to the allen wrenches and the bolts used. The way that the bed is assembled you can only turn the Allen wrench 1/4 of a turn at a time. So, with that being said, make sure that you have used the restroom, obtained a snack, a drink, and a second person that also has a number 5 allen wrench and this will go so much faster. Be very observant when you lay all the parts out prior to assembly.4
Love It, But Tedious Assembly!SukkulentUnfortunately, I had to move 3 times within a 2 year frame and each time, I dread taking apart this bed. I love the way it looks and I love the medium grey tone. I also like that it hasn't started squeaking yet. However, I hate the assembly and disassembly. You're screwing in hardware in a very difficult-to-see angle which makes this take at least an hour or more to do if you're having trouble. It's not really *difficult*, it's just very dreadful and frustrating. And if you don't follow the instructions carefully and put the wrong side in, then you can't connect the headboard portion. Watch out!4
2 years with Casper mattressAbomI'm 6'1 200lbs. I've owned this frame for two years with the Luroy slats and a Casper mattress. Absolutely love it.5
love the frame!!lonesomebodyyou will need help from someone to set up, its a lot of try, try, and try again with the slats but once you get it its worth it, i've had it for a little over a year and everything still looks great and feels great.5
Love it!CamilamBought this bed a month ago and I love it! It is very minimalist. The bed was easy to assemble, only took me 45 min. It was a great addition to my room. Really sturdy, does not squeak so far. 10/10 would buy again !5
Love this bed - wish it came in a king sizePwnthethI bought this frame back in November 2018, and five months on this bed is perfect. We saved the slats from our queen MALM bed (which basically disintegrated after 10 years of use), which is great because that saved us from having to purchase a new set to support the mattress. So FYI if you have the rolled-up slats already that go with beds like the MALM, they will fit perfectly on the queen KOPARDAL. The gray color is dark, but obviously not black if you're hoping it comes darker than the images pictured on the website. The bed is sturdy and after several months of use, absolutely no movement or squeaking. It was easy to put together (took about 30 minutes with 1.5 people) and minimal curse words. I just wish they did this bed frame in a king size. IKEA - PLEASE MAKE THIS BED IN A KING SIZE!5
GinastylerocksI do like this bed, but it very squeaky, which is irritating. I have also hit my toe on the leg of the bed a few times and it really hurt. I do like the overall look of the bed, but might get rid of it and try something else.3
PerfectWinMI purchased this frame two weeks ago. I'm really happy I purchased it. It's very sturdy, and it's comfortable.5
Inexpensive and sturdy!FoxmomI bought this bed for my 13 year old son a month ago and so far, so good. Super easy to put together (1 person, 30 minutes) and his full sized mattress that we already had (not ikea) fit like a glove. The first thing my husband said when he saw it was that I bought our son a “prison bed” (ha ha ha) but hey...for the price...it’ll do nicely and he’s happy!5
Horribly squeakyCk1234Can barely sleep because the bed is so squeaky.1
It"s fineanemoneeThe bed frame went together easily (not the lonset bed base, that was an ordeal!). However, once I was done, the bed was more of a trapezoid than a rectangle, making it impossible to center perfectly in the room. I tried adjusting the screws but could not get the bed square. I was still able to get the lonset bed base in, but only because it's two pieces and each piece has a little space at the end. The two base pieces are not perfectly lined up, but once the mattress was on it felt fine.3
My first bedYuseungI have the Full/Double sized bed and bought the Lönset Slatted Bed Base. Two nights in so far, so good. It's a solid, no noise bed. I would recommend it. As for the actual shade of gray, it's the shade of gray that is shown when you select either the Eidfjord or the Espevär slatted bed base. Step 4 requires patiences because it's very tedious. It's also probably the most important step to insure that the bed will be solid and noise free. Go back around a couple more times to insure that the screws are tightened properly. Don't over torque the screws though! Lift the frame up and shake it a little to resettle the screws making sure that that there's no wiggle room.5
Great Inexpensive Bed... Easy for Movingphilly18I bought this bed about 4 months ago and I have not had any issues so far. It was easy to install and as someone who has moved frequently, I think this IKEA bed will work well for that. The color is NOT BLACK but a nice grey. I viewed the bed in store so I wasn't surprised. I think for the price you can't find much better. The only thing I have had an issue with is the slats falling. I solved this by just adding some tape to a few of the slats on either side and I haven't had any issues since.5
Simple Bed, So So Qualitykaycee29Looks cute. Color is lighter than the pic as others have said. Product quality is cheap though. Metal easily dents. Headboard and footboard pieces arrived bent, which made the installation more difficult than it needed to be.2
We love our KOPARDAL!Heart over HarvestI don't understand all of the bad reviews -- we love this bed! Pros: -sturdy and quiet -no boxspring required -easy to assemble -amazing price My husband and I did run into the angled legs. After we did it once, we learned our lesson and haven't had any issues since! We have a standard queen size mattress that fits perfectly. The color is definitely lighter in person than it looks in the pictures. Overall, I would definitely recommend this bed!5
Great bed - especially for the pricelisameesabobeesaI’ve had this bed, with the cheapest base option, for 6 weeks. I love it. It’s sturdy and stylish. I have zero complaints.5
Solid & MinimalKennyWI bought this bed (King size) on Sunday and was lucky to get it delivered the same day. It took me about an hour to put it together and it couldn't have been any easier. Such a simple design and a great value. Feels solid and looks great! I couldn't be any happier with this purchase.5
Awesome Bedframe!bmmccueWe love this bedframe! Easy to transport, put together, and take apart. Comfy to sleep on with Luroy slats. Would highly recommend to folks who are moving from city to city often.5
