Like 👍👍👍Nataliiaexcellent quality ... there were no problems in assembling the sofa .. All parts fit perfectly .. all the seams on the sofa cover are perfectly even. And all the corners on the pillows are perfectly aligned with the corners on the covers ... I recommend this series to everyone5
Super ComfyOliviaLove how lux it feels with all the comfort!5
Great modern look that fitsYvetteGreat modern look that fits my traditional furniture too. Love the options for assembly to fit my space. Extremely comfortable too!5
KIVIK Second time buyerMaryThis is my second Kivik, this time with the chaise sectional. The seat of the chaise is too soft, needs more support. I weigh 103 lbs. and it depressed in the center. I am a designer and I am going to try to figure out how to increase the support.4
Just What I WantedChristieLove this sofa. The size, the color, the ease of switching around the cushions. And, it is very comfortable.5
Lost shape after one monthraeofsunshineDO NOT BUY THIS COUCH. I previously owned a larger Kivik and loved it, but something has changed because this one we purchased in February started to get lumpy and saggy almost immediately. I'm so disappointed and 1. don't have my receipt and 2. can't reach ANYBODY in customer service.1
Not what I expectecVTC95I purchased the Kivik two years ago. The floor model in the store was very comfortable and I liked the fact you could launder the cushions. I’ve washed them twice without shrinkage and they’re easy to put back on the cushions. I’m very disappointed with the cushions themselves. The seat cushions slide forward and your low back goes down in the back which is very uncomfortable. The chaise cushion hangs over the front edge of the chaise. You have to constantly push the cushions back into place and they’re heavy. Over time the seat cushions have flattened and this has caused the sofa part to sit low making it hard to get into a standing position. I only weigh 140# so the cushions should not be in this bad of shape after two years. This is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. It’s being hauled away by the junk man.2
Good but needs improvementBBG4We bought this couch 2 years ago because the size, style and arrangement options, and price were exactly what we were looking for. At first we LOVED it! We still like our couch and chaise very much, but are often annoyed by certain features. The covers have stretched allowing them to slide over the cushions inside, so the seams don't line up nice and neat as when it's first assembled. Additionally, the cushions themselves slide forward causing an overhang under your knees (up to 5-6 inches). This is both unsightly and less comfortable. I have to readjust the cushions daily, and have difficulty getting the cover seams to line up on the cushions. Otherwise, the frame and fabric are holding up pretty well. We still find the couch comfortable overall. I still love that it is not too high - makes it easy for the kids to use, and love the squared off flat top arm rests. I would still recommend this product but with a disclaimer about the cons that might deter others from buying.3
I love it!!heigl009I am 100% satisfied with this couch! It was fairly easy to put together (only took about 1-2 hours with power tools), it looks modern and for the quality it’s definitely worth the price. It is firm but still very comfy. I fall asleep on it very easily. Purchased the ottoman that goes with it as well so it can turn into a bed. Overall I highly recommend. It’s stylish and comfortable and for the price it’s worth it.5
Ok. Worth the price.Pippi likes puzzlesWe bought our kivik 7 years ago, it had decent style for a $700 sectional. Moderately comfortable, however it always looked sloppy. The bottom cushions would always hang over the edge of the couch. The chaise cushion would hang over 5 inches at times. It got worse as the couch got older. We washed the covers in cold water/hang dry, but they shrunk. Once we squeezed them on the cushions we were left with gaps between cushions. I will note that it does say dry clean only, maybe they wouldn’t have shrunk, but it definitely would’ve cast almost as much as a buying new covers. We did eventually end up buying new covers, and we still had the cushion overhang issue. Structurally, it held up until this year. First, the u shape bracket holding the chaise to the loveseat broke leaving a gap in the middle of sectional, then the bracket holding one of the arms on failed. Then out of the blue, the whole loveseat portion just collapsed. There was no jumping or bouncing to cause it. It just collapsed when someone sat down.3
GirlAndDogWe’ve only had the sectional for a day, but we’re pleasantly surprised, given the negative reviews. After visiting an Ikea store to test out the couch, we decided $800 was worth it. To address some concerns I’ve read: there is a giant Velcro strip holding the end of the chaise cushion in place, so I’m guessing it’s going to be secure. The cushions, despite info to the contrary, look very flippable to me (except the chaise cushion, which is cut an an angle to fit the back of the couch). We live in a third floor walkup—getting the boxes up was much easier than getting the old couch down! Assembly was quite cluttered with so many boxes and pieces, but really easy. We love the light gray, which makes our fairly small apartment seem more open than it did with a smaller, darker couch. My only minor concern is my worry that the memory foam will get too sunk in, but for our budget and needs I think it’ll be terrific. My dog is very pleased as well.5
Comfortable, but have to adjust the chaise cushionaaashiiiWe had this sofa for a little over a year when we lived in our apartment. For reference we also have a baby so this sofa saw some spit-ups and spills but we were able to wash the covers in the washing machine and they would look fresh and new. Even between washes if you spot clean the stain would not be too noticeable. It is a comfortable sofa and we would often find ourselves laying down on it a lot and sometimes even sleep on it. However, the chaise cushion would always slip outward and we would have to keep readjusting it so that was annoying. Overall, it was a good sofa, however not something that I think would last long-term.4
Sturdy and Comfortable!Perfect couchI am writing this because I see many bad reviews. We purchased our Kivik with a chaise over six years ago. It has been through about three moves and the playfulness of two small children, and the attentions of a cat. The slipcover is a bit worn, but it is otherwise in excellent condition. It is comfortable and sturdy and I will buy another one when the time comes.5
Perfect for two...and a dog!Marsha48We've had it for about 2 months and it's been great so far. It wasn't too difficult to build except for having to squish those cushions into the fabric! It's such a tight squeeze we didn't even iron the fabric as the instructions suggested because the tightness pushed all the wrinkles out! It's nice to have the low armrest to lean pillows against, rest plates on, or for our dog to stretch out and use as a pillow. It's a perfect fit for two adults stretched out and a dog. We love napping on it! We haven't noticed the cushions giving way too much, or the chaise dipping in yet. While you COULD remove the fabric to wash if there was a stain, it would not be convenient at all. But nice that the option is there to replace the fabric if in a few years it starts to look really dingy and bad. Our color was listed as grey-green. Definteily more grey than green, can't really tell it's green at all.5
Very very bad cushions quality.Pashthe cushion is not supported as it should be for the price. As per the price of the product I was expecting to the very good quality of KIVIK product but the cushion is not supportive for back and cannot sit on the sofa more than 15 mins. not recommended if planning to use it for a long term.1
Couch is great but chaise lounge is falling apart!SFliving2018We bought this couch around 9 months ago and the chaise is wearing so poorly that it is actually become uncomfortable. We used to fight over who got the chaise and now it sits empty. The chaise seat cushion feels like a different quality than the other seat cushions- it is not as firm and it is constantly riding/ falling down the couch. The cover also is oversized looks baggy on the chaise. Was not expecting much from a $800 couch but there is clearly something wrong with how the chaise is manufactured. We are returning this, sadly.2
Just what I was looking forthejutI just bought this couch last week. It was huge so I got it delivered the day after I picked it out in the store. (New flat rate of 29bucks!) I - a female, put it together entirely by myself in under 3hrs. There was a bit of hassle with attaching the arm to the chaise as the holes didn’t line up right away but I did eventually get everything lined up enough to screw all 4 in. The couch is firm but comfortable and looks almost identical to a west elm version for 1000 less!! SO happy. I will say that what I thought was dark gray online is a bit more blue than in person but I still purchased. The green- gray though which I also considered is much nicer in person than online.5
Returning thisHStaffordAt first the assembly seemed simple. When it came to connecting the chaise to the loveseat, we followed the instructions to apply a black metal piece to the side of the loveseat. Only, the holes of the black metal piece did not line up with each other. The screw is supposed to go through one part of the black metal piece, the. Through the wood of the loveseat, & then through another hole on the black metal piece. With out the holes lining up on the metal this is impossible to do. The only way around it, is to drill new holes into the metal piece & loveseat. We were not willing to do that. We are returning this.1
Faulty Cushions for ChaiseMazzCushions for Chaise do not last. Had couch for 4 years and it is unusable on a major drop on the the Chaise side. Would not recommend as it has caused me severe back issues and warranty replacement(If I could find receipt) would result in them sending you the same poor quality cushions.1
