Tibbleby covers are trash - IKEA quality in general is going downDavidWe bought a Kivik (two seat + ottoman) for our bedroom a couple years ago and really liked the quality of the sofa and the Tallmyra blue cover.
Last month we decided to replace our living room sectional with this Kivik. The couch itself is fine. The covers we got - Tibbleby - are awful. I was so disappointed as we were putting them on and saw immediately that they were of cheap quality, already threads coming out, and far too loose for some of the cushions. We're so repulsed by the sight of them that we've covered up our couch with blankets.
Maybe eventually we'll get replacement covers, but the cost ($600) is astronomical and frankly insulting given the trash quality. Disappointed with IKEA and as much as we've liked saving money with them in the past, the quality has gone down such that it's not worth it - we won't be making any "big" purchases with IKEA anymore.1
Good bones, bad finishAllisonThis couch feels very durable. That also means that it was tough to assemble. Once put together, it's almost impossible to move. None of the fabrics seemed good with pets, so I went with the cheapest, the tibbleby beige. Cats shredded it the first day. A year later, and I just spent $700 and got new custom covers in a claw proof fabric that feels velvety. New cover is great, but it took several hours to swap out covers. If this was an option at the start, I'd call this couch a 4. Seats are very bouncy, almost too firm, and I do need a lumbar pillow behind my back. We do really enjoy this couch for naps - plenty wide and the low flat arms are great.3
Love it !TylerMy wife and I purchased this Kvik sectional at middle of 2022, 1 year review is great, it’s been a very nice couch and very easy to clean, so many options to set up. Shopped at Rooms to Go and Ashley for sectional in same size and price range, nothing compares to IKEA. Couldn’t ask for a better couch !5

It doesn't look like the picturesJenniferIkea must have cheapened the material and build on this. For $2100, it looks like a cheap sofa. The covers do not fit well and it is impossible to align the seams with the pillows. And the seams look like the inside seam of a pair of jeans, not in a good way. I absolutely hate the look of this sofa and for the price it's a ripoff. Also, only one side of the pillows are usable, they cheaped out by failing to put the fabric all the way around the seated pillow. It's medium firm and feels ok comfort wise. But it looks like it was about $500. I dislike it so much I may find a way to rent a uhaul and get it back to a store.1
Love it !TylerGreat Price for this Size and quality ! Very happy with it5
