Mine just turn off after 15 seconds Lindy LouI purchased 2 of them and they both just switch off after 10-15 seconds. The was plugging them into a portable charger. Is that the problem?
RF clean for amateur radio ✅JeffThis small flexible LED light is perfect! The softer color temperature and modest output are perfect for illuminating the front panel controls of... whatever. I use it for amateur radio gear. The best part is that this LED light is very RF clean! It introduces no discernible RF hash; I think this is in part because there is no dimmer control or other extraneous circuitry. Just a simple and clean design, electronically. The off switch is unplugging it — perfect.
The gooseneck holds any position securely. I use a USB extension cable to bring the light to the area that I want to illuminate, since there isn't a USB jack at the front panel of my radio gear. It's a good arrangement. Highly recommend this light!

Focused and Discrete IlluminationNathanielThis little 3W light serves as a great bedside or reading lamp that is dim enough not to be a disturbance to others, and can be used almost anywhere with a USB-A port or a wall socket adapter. The beam cutoff is pretty clean and circular. The light color is similar to daylight. Mine is plugged into a small, switched surge protector on my night stand to be able to turn it on and off without unplugging it each time. Utopia would be one of these lights with a small, integrated switch. It would also help to have a USB-C version. Thanks, Ikea!

It doesn't work.PatriciaItem doesn't work. Tried several different USBs. It just gets warm near the base and never lights up. This was my first order from Ikea. (I don't live near one.) I only ordered two things and one is unusable. I'm pretty disappointed.
Great Respectable Utilitarian Light. HarryThe light is a USB flexible lamp and has been serving me for pushing 5 years now without fail. The USB plug is starting to show wear, however I recommend getting a "USB condom" or a "USB isolator" to serve as a secondary plug surface to protect the actual USB plug on teh Jansjoe. It is a nice, bright warm yellow LED light that draws very little power. I respect the decision to not include a switch, as it is, in my experience, often the first thing to fail, and also cheapens the experience by adding little tic-tac switches. If you need a switch, I'd recommend a USB cable with light switch or looking to the desk lamp version of this product.
Be careful to know where the lamp is at all times, incase you accidentally hit the lamp and cause undue stress onto the USB connector it is plugged into.
It would be great to have a companion product that clips onto the handle section of the USB connector and acts as a sturdy weighted base, when plugging into flexible cables for power.

It has a good, flexible gooseneck design that holds its position when adjusted, and also is great for model or craft work to give you a spot light source. Excellent!

Perfect for my useShaunPurchased for use in enclosed display cabinet with LÖRBY and simplicity is key for use here. The LÖRBY is connected to AMZN enabled plug for voice activation through Echo. The beauty of JANSJÖ vs. many other similar small USB lights is that it turns on with power being present and without need to press an on/dimming button so in enclosed display cabinet JANSJÖ lights up with voice activation and no need to physically press anything. This aside, the form is beautiful, minimal and very functional. Very small and able to orient the light exactly where needed. Only marks against are that light could be brighter and only available in warm white vs. having pure/cool white option. But if it's bright enough for you and tone of light works for you then this is near perfect.
