waiting for another deskKathleenWe selected this desk while waiting for another to come into stock--will end up being a side table when the desk we want comes in5
So versatileKATHERINEThis desk works beautifully as a versatile work space in a guest room. When company comes we simply drop the leaf and it becomes a tidy little table.5
So cute!JenniferSo cute and perfect fit for my small space!5
Great DeskTeresaI love this desk! My grandson is using it while doing remote school at home. It is a very sturdy desk( perfect for his computer)! It was fairly easy to assemble and fits perfectly in a small space. I love that I can extend the side flaps if I need more room!5
Purchased to share for workingDaraPurchased to share for working remotely and for kids attending school remotely. Everyone likes it so much, I have only been able to use it once. Considering buying a second one! Bonus is dropping the sides down, so it doesn't take up extra space in our small home.5
Remote Learning AssetBbon B.Love this table. It works so great in our space. The 2 sides that you can drop down make it versatile for many spaces. The quality is really good and the only thing that I don’t like so much is the screws on the legs aren’t covered so you see the silver from the screws. It would be a better finish if they had a little white plug (even plastic); it would look more high end!5
Great qualityBriyaThis desk is wonderful. It made terrific, very sturdy. The ability to fold down each side is helpful. My only wish is that it came in other colors.5
Surface defectRonC3Had this table for less than 2 years, and was fine until we left a glass of water sitting on it overnight, and a solid blister formed. Looks like there was a tiny pin hole (defect) where the glass was, and the moisture caused it. Our last table (just basic Formica) was 35 years old and never had any problems. They should make the surface more durable.3
Nice desk, but issues assemblingFgilli19Overall a nice desk now that it’s finally assembled. There were a couple issues putting together. First problem i ran into was attaching one of the legs to bottom support bar. The hole was not deep enough for piece #100507 to fit so i had to get my husbands drill bit and make hoole bigger/deeper, which took a while because i was very careful to not go too deep and was having a difficult time. The next issue was the grooves of drawer not lining up to be able to screw in. The assembly of this desk took MUCH longer than i anticipated, but i was determined to get it complete rather than dealing with returning seeing as i live over an hour away from Ikea and just had a baby.3
Great for small spacesalliep23I bought this after finding out I was going to work from home until September during the COVID crisis & it works great! I have a very small space and like that the sides fold up and down so that when I need more space, I can have it!5
Right size.SewliliI bought this to use to put my serger on in my sewing room. I like the drop leaves and the cord port hole.5
perfect little deskRainH2owe bought this to put between our two Pax wardrobes makes a great little vanity/desk5
Just awful...extremely shoddy designcp8361The drawer is the most poorly designed piece of Ikea furniture I've ever purchased. It scrapes against the metal bracket each time you open it, shaving off bottom pine wood. There is no padding on the bracket to prevent this, nor is the metal bracket curved to allow frictionless sliding. Yes, it does this when correctly assembled.1
DeskJWellNice little desk. Leaves fold out & stay put. Seems sturdy enough. I'd buy it again.5
Good for small roomsJoe binIt’s nice to be able expand my workspace. Bad thing is one leg is off. I had to put something under it to level it out.3
Space savvy and super functionalAriM13I thought about this desk for a few months after I saw it in the showroom. I couldn't get it out of my mind. I needed a small desk that had enough room to study, bit wouldn't crowd a small space. Nothing I saw elsewhere compared. I went back a month ago and got it and I am so glad I did. It's wonderful. It exceeds my function expectations, and is so stylish. It's durable enough to hold very large, heavy textbooks on the extensions. I couldn't be happier. Such a great value. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is one of the metal pieces for the drawer was bent a bit so the drawer catches when you open it.4
Cute DeskNormaJJThis desk is perfect for my craft room; not too big, not too small. The drawer is perfect for storing pens and supplies. The only thing I didn't like was the time it took to put it together! It took my husband and me 1 1-/2 hours to assemble it because there were so many pieces.5
Great deskmartimlThis desk is exactly what I needed. I like that it takes a small space but opens up on both sides for more surface space. I am using it for a sewing table. The corner spot for cords is very handy. Great product! I also like that this is a solid wood product.5
The Perfect DeskJillbeansPerfect for small areas. I like the versatility. you can extend it or fold each end down to conserve space. It’s pretty sturdy and I like the color. If you’re looking for a small desk to fit in a small area, this is the perfect desk.5
Quality materials. Sturdy and stable.SSempleThis desk is like a piece of furniture from the old days. It’s solid and stable, yet easy to put together. And it looks as elegant as I hoped. I was glad I didn’t go for a cheaper alternative.5

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

How small can a table be and still be beautiful and practical? When I designed INGATORP drop-leaf table, I wanted it to have as many functions as possible and have it still look nice from all angles, no matter where it is in the home. I thought about how people used to sit in the light from a candelabra to write letters and tried to recreate that feeling. It’s also flexible and functional with drop-leaves and a storage drawer – serving both as dining table and desk.
