Sturdy attractive cabinetSaraWe bought this for our liquor bottles. It works beautifully! It is sturdy enough to carry the weight and it keeps the dust out well. It’s a great addy to the great room.

Overall excellent design. Reminds me of something that you’d see in an engineer's office from the 50's or 60's, but with modern additions that make this much more at home in a modern office. First, the addition of sliding glass doors means this piece can double as a display cabinet as well as a storage cabinet where you won’t forget what you’ve got and where it is. Second, this is very sturdy and solidly built without being overwhelming in the space (although I wouldn’t say no to an 8’ tall version of this that dominates the room). And while I’d love to see this in bright, obnoxious colors like fire engine red or cobalt blue, the gray is a good color that matches the industrial style overall. The paint is somewhat glossy (eggshell?) and it’s not hard to scuff a little just by normal sliding of things across the surface, but I wouldn’t say it’s easy to scratch (which implies removing paint). Still you have to try to find the imperfections.RobertI purchased two of these. It does require a little bit of room to unpack the three boxes for assembly, but the process was shockingly quick and painless. Just be sure you orient the sides correctly to accept the legs (they should really point out the important details and maybe use some words rather than just pictures that can be a little difficult to pick out what the vital details are).
The sliding doors have dampened, self-closing catches. Why don’t they brag about this in the description?! One of mine had a click when it engaged, but a quick adjustment took care of it (the wheels can be raised or lowered). Just be sure not to install the door stops until you test the doors because it’s a paint to remove them with the shelves full. And one of my doors had an alignment tab (fits into the top track after dropping the wheel in the bottom track) installed upside down. Fortunately I easily removed the Philips screws, flipped it, and reattached. Would buy another shelf if I could.
