Easy peasy lemon squeezeyRosemary C.My kid and I had a great time putting this together. We did it on a weekend and looked at the instructions carefully before and during each section of assembly which made this a fun low stress project. The dresser is for their bedroom and is sturdy with a lot of room for their things. Ikea has changed my mind set about particle board and I really appreciate their take on utilizing wood products to decrease waste and the fact that all of the packing materials including the plastic are recyclable. The dresser is nice and sturdy and should last for years to come. We are going to get the glass top to help protect the paint from wear and tear.5
Easiest IKEA build ever!!Aly D.I frequent IKEA and have built my share of furniture over the years - this dresser was the fastest assembly to date!!! It was so easy and painless and it’s an absolutely gorgeous piece! I’m obsessed with the soft close drawers5
It’s sleek, beautiful, and aAlexieIt’s sleek, beautiful, and a bargain5
Solid dresserscottThis dresser has soft closing drawer slides. I never paid attention to how a drawer closes until I experienced this one. It’s quiet and it impossible to slam. It closes on its own softly with a light touch. TIP; when putting the dresser together, make sure everything’s flush and there are no gaps. If you do that the dresser will turn out solid with no wobbles.5
So far so good.Ma V.This dresser took me 8 hours to put together. I like the look and the drawers close softly as advertised in store. I used a YouTube video to help me assemble the dresser because the manual was a bit confusing. My only disappointment was realizing that the dresser did not come with the glass top and I would have to buy it separately. This is very inconvenient since I was unaware of this and now will be charged another $100+ fee to buy the glasstop and have it delivered. They should strongly specify the added feature in store for people. If the dresser is for your children I would 2nd guess the white color, especially without a glass top. I can imagine the paint on this dresser chipping off easily. I'm not a fan of the paint quality, but I'm happy that it fits almost everything I needed to store inside of it. Bottom drawers were big enough, not shallow. Top drawers were a good design for smaller items. Wish I could say I would repurchase another one.4
Great product!!JOHNEasy build and well built.5
Love my new dresserLisaLove love this dresser was not my first choice actually but was the only one in stock for the past six months so we went ahead and purchased it ! What a pleasant surprise it not only Looks Beautiful it’s great and sturdy quality love it in our newly renovated bedroom!5
Not a bad dresser.Thomas P.I thought the directions were a bit confusing. The dresser should be assembled with glue to make it more sturdy, and you should apply glue to the underside of the cabinet drawers to make the drawers a bit more sturdy.
I watched a YouTube video to help me assemble the dresser and I had someone help me and it took four hours to complete the assembly.
One of the best features are the soft close drawers.4
Good Buy Dresser Work prefect!!! Please read complete review all the way, best info at end.Ryan O.I'm taking the time to write this review on Memorial Day '22 while I drink my AM coffee.
First I wanted to say what a great dresser, this solid piece of furniture I absolutely love the self closing drawers.
Second I wanted to mention the building process and time it took me. I did use wood glue to help provide the extra support with some of the joints and connectors. After I got everything laid out I would say it was a solid 2.5 hrs.
OK...Now time to go off on the people that commented on this dresser being bad due to the drawers not closing properly and nothing aligning up. Don't believe this at all, complete rubish! If you don't know how to build something CORRECTLY then don't write a review please. I almost didn't buy this dresser due to some of the past reviews that suggested it was fabricated poorly, not true again. Read the directions and pay attention then you will be 100.5
Worth it!Mike T.First ever IKEA product. I DO recommend watching the three part YouTube video to build it. The instructions are just and some explanations or directions would help. It does take about three hours or so, you have to take your time. I used wood glue in the dowels and on the back sides of the door slides that screw into the vertical walls like the guy did in the video. I do believe it makes a difference and it feels solid this way. I did also purchase the glass top for it. It actually is for the Hemnes series and it a small on the ends about .75" on either side when it's centered up, but front to back it fits just right. I like the brackets that go in the hole to secure it down, thay was a worth while purchase to protect the top.
It's a good piece, just takes a while to assemble. This dresser in true solid wood I've looked at similarly is about $1500, so take that for what it's worth in dollar relation. I'm glad I bought it and expect to get several years out of it.5
I have this dresser inTERII have this dresser in both the dark brown and white.
I love it! I like the look of it, it is sleek, the drawers are spacious and love that they are soft closing. I definitely recommend this dresser.5
TeresaTeresaStill in boxes. Waiting for my home to be completed. Store model looked beautiful. Similar to Crate & Barrel but at a fraction of the cost.5
Love the slow close drawers.ChristineLove the slow close drawers. Nice looking dresser with ample room5

Adorable dresserMinaLove the legs it has, I can vacuum under it.5
A Great DresserGEORGEThis dresser works great, and is a good value for the money. It was fairly easy to put together, although having a second person is a must while assembling it. The Slow Close drawers work good, but not very smooth when it engages to start the Slow Close process. The sides of the drawers are solid wood. A lot of the rest of the dresser is laminated pressed wood (particle board), I would have preferred solid wood. The dresser top, drawer fronts, and legs are solid wood and beautiful. The dark color is what we wanted, and is nice, but requires frequent dusting in my environment. All things considered, the look, feel, and quality are very high.5
Looks great, works greatKristen H.I love the way this ended up looking in my bedroom. The soft close drawers work great and make the dresser feel more high-end. This did take me several hours to assemble by myself, but I’m hoping all those pieces I screwed in and connected will make it sturdier and longer lasting.5

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
Forests are critical for life on earth
Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.
100% wood from more sustainable sources
At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030
As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.
We accomplish more by working together
For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.
What is fiberboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fiber becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
