Simple mattress for a spare bedClaireI bought this for a twin bed that I had also purchased the same day (I wanted to set up a spare bed for guests). The mattress is very firm, so I did buy a topper separately (not from Ikea) to make it feel more cozy. The package it came in was great - all compressed in a roll and easy to transport back to my apartment.4
Better than air mattressKYLEI bought this because it was the cheapest and I was tired of air mattress living. This is just the next step up.3
Good for pricejayshannon23I got this in the clearance section. I'm not really sure why it was there? It was still in original package. I got this for my daughters top bunk bed and she loves it. I was worried about her being able to feel the springs but it's not too bad.5
Great mattress fornthe priceSantiago123Couldn't get a more comfortable mattress for the price. Easy to unfold!5
Decent Mattress for Priceeas5The mattress is not very comfortable. Given the price and size, I feel I should have expected as much; however, I have had other spring mattresses from IKEA that were fantastic. I would recommend going with a different mattress.2
UncomfortableHpillI bought this a couple months ago for my four year old to go with his new Kura bed. I can count on one hand the number of times he slept on it. Every time saying it was too hard and hurting his back. I’ve had to buy a very thick mattress pad to go over it for him. I’ve also laid on it and it’s very hard.2
Good purchaseMitch MBought this mattress a few months ago and is good quality and comfort for the price. Comparable to mattresses of similar prices in mattress stores. Perfect for young kids and occasional sleeping. Not meant for people with specific bedding requirements or high comfort expectations. Again, good mattress in this price range.5
Firm mattress perfect for daybedPatriciaRNI bought this mattress for our HEMNES daybed after purchasing and returning a foam mattress. This mattress is very firm, which is great for a couch-like daybed. We wanted something firmer so we wouldn't be uncomfortable sitting down on it. It's important to keep in mind that a mattress for a daybed is not necessarily the best mattress for sleeping on. This is a very firm mattress and it takes some time to get used to. I nap on it from time to time and find it fine nowadays, but I wouldn't buy this mattress to sleep on every night. It's okay for guests as well. After buying one of these mattress, I bought a second one. Unfortunately the second one has a defect (a bump on the top) and we will probably need to exchange for another one.4
Very firmChristinaNvThought I was buying one mattress but I guess I got it wrong. This is a very firm mattress.2
spring mattressIKEAFamilyMembergood, not great spring mattress for (twin) loft bed.4
Do not purchase this.DilaraHI bought this about 3 months ago, I am very unhappy with this. My kids gets back pain. I am planning to return this product.1
Great support!David2019While this mattress may seem hard for some people, we love it. It gives great back support. We purchased a mattress topper to make it more comfy and that sure did the trick. Two thumbs up from our guests already!!5
Tolik 360Excellent purchase for the kids bedroom, thanks for the association5
Not fit for purpose!app1I bought this mattress which specifically states: the height and width of this mattress fit perfectly in IKEA day-beds and children's extendable beds (when fully-extended). This is inaccurate as this does not fit the daybed I purchased from IKEA. I am VERY disappointed as I purchased many other items over the last few months and on the first occasion one item was missing and when I tried to get reimbursement I got the run-around despite having purchased high value items. Customer service from some are fine but trying to get through to IKEA is a nightmare!1
You get what you pay for!FudoG99It's not a great mattress. It's not even really a *good* mattress. It's a 120 dollar mattress and you get what you pay for. If you need something cheap and temporary to sleep on, and for some reason absolutely must have springs over foam or latex, then this is probably best deal you'll find anywhere. The other reviewers complaining that it's uncomfortable, its firmness and being able to feel every spring are applying WAY too high standards to something that isn't, nor is even trying to, meet those higher standards. You obviously will need a topper for this, which can also be found for cheap, to put some space and comfort between you and the springs, but again, this isn't the type of mattress you want to get for long term, comfortable sleep. It's a 120 dollar spring mattress. If someone is honestly expecting a great night's sleep on this, they're clearly not looking in the right direction. There's a reason high-end mattresses from other companies sell from $3 - 4,000 to $10,000 and more! Good, quality mattresses aren't cheap. If you just need something less hard than the floor you're tossing it on, say for a guest to sleep on for a night or two, then this plus a topper fills that role perfectly, though I'd suggest that a foam mattress would probably be better. But you really can't beat the price on this for a mattress being used as a temporary bed. This is a low-end, specific use mattress and Ikea put this out knowing exactly what type of role it's useful for. If you're looking for a personal mattress for long-term use and comfort, then you need to be prepared to spend at least 300 or 400 bucks at the VERY minimum, and will probably still need a topper. Also don't forget that mattresses have a life span. You're not only paying for quality of comfort, but of how many years you'll get out of it before it's been flipped over too many times and is totally worn out. Flattened foam that doesn't fluff back up, broken and permanently compressed springs, etc. The guesstimated life span of a mattress is usually about 1 year per $100 spent, though this increases when you get over the $1,000 mark... those $15 to 20,000 mattresses will last almost a lifetime. Personally, I suggest biting the proverbial bullet and shelling out no less than $800 to $1,000 on a quality mattress that will get you well over 10 years of comfortable use. Always remember, you get what you pay for! If you want cheap, you're not gonna get quality and if you want quality, you're not gonna get it for cheap. Especially with mattresses!3
I got what I paid for .deb3511It was easy to handle , ship in my car . A little bent , I got what i paid for . I cannot complain . . .3
worst mattress everyusuke925Purchased this mattress as a temp mattress while waiting for my furniture to be shipped. You're almost better off sleeping on the floor. It's so firm, and you feel every spring.1
Can feel every spring!SwatiMehraI bought this a month ago for my daybed and have been using it since then, I must say that it is pretty unsatisfactory. You can feel each and every spring on your body!! Cant really sleep on it! I want to exchange it asap1
Can feel every springSaracateThe mattress has no additional padding above the spring, so you can feel every single one. Even for me who likes a firmer mattress this was too much. A topper may help, but ultimately we determined it would cost more to make it comfortable than to just get another mattress option.1
Uncomfortable!Marie195My daughter calls this mattress her table and says it's just as bad as sleeping on then floor. We are getting her a new one asap.1
