Not the quality I expected from IKEAMike T.This is probably the worst IKEA experience I have ever had. From boards splitting, to parts night lining up, this thing was a nightmare from beginning to end. The board that runs along the back of the dresser at the bottom split at the cam joint on the right side while nailing the back of the dresser on. 4 of the drawers split when hammering in the nylon fasteners to hold the drawer together. On one drawer the holes were over drilled and the fasteners would not hold the drawer together. I had to put nails in the drawer to keep it from coming apart. The screws in the drawer glides won't sink in all the way and get hung up on the glides attached to the dresser. I was afraid to over tighten the screws for fear they would strip out. Definitely not worth $400.1

Purchased Same Dresser 3 times - This one is differentTori B.We have purchased this same dresser 3 times - the first time in December 2017, then again in Summer 2021 and again this month 5/2023. We still own all 3 and they are in 2 different rooms. The dressers purchased in 2017 and 2021 have held up nicely and we have no issues. That being said the most recent dresser (5/2023) is definitely different. - Wood Quality, Wood Finish Quality,Drawer Hardware (Sliders/Track) and even overall build-ability are all different and not in a good way. I love the look of the dresser and wanted it to match the other dressers especially the one and the same room but this most recent one is not the same quality. At almost the same price if not more it’s not worth it compared to the same dresser purchased almost 6 years ago and almost 2 years exactly.2

Hemnes gray dresserSaraWe have two of these dressers in black and haven’t had any problems but the gray was really difficult to work with. One of the pieces kept splitting when we screwed into it so had to go back to the store and get two replacements. One of the drawer panels came completely cracked as well. When we got one of the replacements it was a different gray with more grain showing so looked out of place before we noticed it was cracked anyways.1
Good dresserJuliaLooks great in my room, straight forward assembly, but it takes longer than you think it would and I recommend using a drill. Don’t try and use a regular hand held screw driver, it will take way to long to assemble.5

The back piece didn’t want to get nailed into place - the top half wen on fine but the nails kept bending for the bottom. The rollers for a couple drawers keep catching on something. Otherwise no issues4

Not greatOlgaQuality is not there, sadly. It was quite hard to assemble for me alone and I assembled a lot of Ikea furniture through three moves in the past 6 years. The drawers are not smooth running at all and are quite loud. Whole construction was very wobbly till the end and I`m surprised that I didn`t break anything in the process. Good luck!3
