Great piece to accompany theTravisGreat piece to accompany the Havsta cabinets.5
Nice console for the priceElizabethFor the price, this is a good console. It didn’t take long to assemble and it was relatively easy. The bottom shelf isn’t a tight fit, but that’s the only issue and it’s not that bothersome. Overall I would buy again.4
Beautiful tableMarionI bought this for my mother to place her TV on. It's a beautiful table and very sturdy! The best part is, it doesn't take up much room, yet can hold a big tv plus other items on the shelf below.5
Great in my Guest RoomALEXISI needed something to fill a blank space after redoing my Guest Room. I used to have a coffee table in the room as a place for guests to set their luggage to unpack or to place towels for them. Now I have the Havsta and it’s great! A bit narrower than the coffee table I had so it doesn’t feel cramped. I wish it were a bit taller (like a sofa or entry table) and the finish were more glossy to match my other furniture but nothing a little paint couldn’t fix!4
Great side tableCarolThis table is perfect for behind my desk to hold my printer and scanner on the top shelf and paper and office supplies on the bottom shelf. It looks like it costs much more than it did, good value for the money. I got the white one and it goes great with the white shutters and molding in my office. It would also work for a sofa table or a buffet table.5
Perfect height for our windows.KATHERINEPerfect height for our windows. The plants will be happy!5
Sofa tableMargieSofa tableIt was perfect for my sofa table, it was great match everything with my dinette enjoyed it look good quality5
BeautifulNancyI'm using this as an end table between two recliners. It's the perfect height and length. On the bottom shelf I have a couple storage baskets and that way the top can stay clear. It's a beautiful piece of furniture and looks expensive. My son assembled it very easily.5
Cute and functionalAnonymous reviewerGreat little table! Fits in our small nook and we store kids shoes and movies in the bottom. I love that the bottom board can come out for versatility and easy cleaning!5
Great furnitureCAB9Works perfectly where I wanted it5
Useful and sturdyMJM4bought for my airbnb, perfect size and color5
Perfect plant / seed starting tableTDRVAI bought this for my house plants and it is the perfect size in front of two windows. Bonus: I used hooks to attach a grow light under the table top and now I’m perfectly set up to start seeds next month on the lower shelf. IKEA, please add a plastic liner sized just right for the lower shelf - then you could sell this for two purposes: console table or plant/ seed starting table. It’s perfect!5
Attractive, real wood, and sturdy.OjannWe bought this table to use as a charging station for all the gizmos. Looked at some of the big box stores, but their tables were rickety and falling apart in the store. Looking forward to using this table. The ONLY thing is that the lower shelf may not hold a lot of weight like lots of books. That is what bookcases are for.5
An Extremely Functional Narrow Table!Customer since 1974Great Plant Rack where a window sill is lacking: New England homes have extremely narrow, if any, window sills which do not accommodate houseplants. This 14 wide table, placed in front of a 40 wide window easily accommodates medium to larger sized plants requiring sun as well as providing some privacy from passerbys. The table height is perfect, in line with the window frame. The wood is easily paintable if your decor's trim is a color other than white. With a lower shelf, it could also be placed in front of an atrium door with plants on both the table top and lower shelf. An extremely useful table.5
Check measurements before purchasingcang2020I forgot to measure the height of this item before I ordered it, so I'll take some of the blame, but the pictures posted show a completely inaccurate size. This item barely goes past my knees and I'm 5'2. It's tiny. For its size, it costs a bomb. It looks completely ridiculous when placed against a wall and is in no way suitable as a room divider (as posted on the item description). I had this item delivered and have no time return to it.2
Just okCJ55I usually Love everything I buy from Ikea. This product was purchased as a window perch for 2 indoor cats. It was easy and fast to put together but one of the legs is unlevel and the top had holes in it that were poorly repaired with putty and the paint wasn’t enough to cover the noticeable flaw.3
Amazing color and very sturdyCheezylintI bought this as an entry table I have the TV stand by the same brand and it is amazing! It really ties a home together! EVERYONE NEEDS AN ENTRY TABLE!5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Form design process

Timeless design in solid wood

The HAVSTA series is inspired by traditional Scandinavian furniture based on practicality and simplicity. It’s made from sustainably-sourced solid pine that shows in its form and surface. Carefully designed details create a handcrafted look, which adds character to the series and makes each piece of furniture unique. And the brushed, matte finish gives a smooth and natural feel. All of this results in graceful pieces of furniture with a sense of timelessness.
