HÄRLANDA sofa takes your comfort to a new level with deep pocket spring seat cushions, high resilience foam, and a top layer of polyester fibers that makes them soft to sink into.

Soft, movable back cushions allow you to find a way to sit that feels relaxed and suits you.

The sofa's sections can be combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you. If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed, while the perfect fit makes it look just as neat as a fixed cover.

Looks nice but superrrrr uncomfortable!Nikki P.I bought this couch a few months ago because I was looking for a cloud couch dupe. I love the look and size of this couch but its sooo uncomfortable! It's so stiff and gives me lower back pain after only a few minutes of sitting on it. This will probably be my last IKEA sofa because my last one was just as bad. If you like firm couches then maybe this is for you but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it for a loungey, everyday couch.3

I had reservations about the texture and finish but in person it was not what others described. Slip covers fit nicely, feel soft, cushion has some firmness but not overly stiff, I think it will hold up great for everyday use. I wish I could post pictures of the finished product! I rarely write reviews and decided to do so because I am back online to buy another one of these (different house), and I was so surprised by the negative reviews. Go see it in person. Even my husband (who was unsure before we bought the first) one loves it - so you should try it before buying if the reviews made you pause. Again, we got the aqua fabric... different from some of the others, and we are very happy with the purchase. Hope this helps!5

When washing the seat cushion slip cover, I unzipped the lining over the cushion and felt the coils. They are so near the top that the padding provided over them is insufficient. Nice couch!SheriWe got the dark gray cover, it looks a little more gray-blue. We love the couch- seems very sturdy. Cleaning spills off of it is a little difficult for to the weave of the fabric- will most likely need to machine wash every time.5

Great sofaAnnThis was a great buy, especially for the cost. Durable fabric and very comfortable. I took off one pillow which makes it better support on the back. A bit hard to put together for one person and very heavy - have someone help you! I also purchased the ottoman which was huge and a couple of inches higher than the sofa. I bought some taller feet for the sofa and now the seat and ottoman are the same heights. Overall would highly recommend!4
Pleasantly surprised...Great couchANGELAHonestly we never thought about buying a couch from IKEA previously. However with the pandemic furniture is hard to come by, turns out even from IKEA. This was the only couch in stock and the only color available. It was pretty easy to assemble. I must say we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable it is!!! And the color has grown on us and we love it now!! We also bought the matching chaise and an ottoman.5

Story

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable, and renewable fiber that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labor, child labor or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

Material

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
