The LED candle gives a cozy flickering light like a real candle. I"m a flameless candle snob,KateI'm a flameless candle snob, and I love these!5
the lights are nice, butERICHthe lights are nice, but I didn't see that you have to buy the batteries separately to get them working.5
Shouldn’t have to use aMargoShouldn’t have to use a screwdriver to replace the battery. Major product flaw.4

Great for outside lanternsAsh M 7We have some lanterns on out porch that required tealights. We also live in Florida and need tealights for hurricane season. As we were growing tired of constantly changing out tealights every 3 hours we found these little puppies. So they do flicker but its very subtle. Inside our lanterns you wouldn't be able to distinguish these from regular tea lights; which is a definite plus. If they are outside of the lanterns in a regular tealight holder yes you can tell they are plastic if you're in a moderately light setting and using them for general ambiance. For how they operate if you want to turn them off before the timer simply knock them twice on a flat surface to turn off. Knock once again to turn them on and reset the timer. Wish they had included that in the instructions as we were quite confused the first time we went to turn them on. Will probably buy more for our hurricane supplies. They definitely work well and with minimal fuss once you get used to them. And as everyone has stated in the reviews, do not forget to buy the batteries! They are sold separate!4
They work...MGProI was disappointed..... Yes, they glow, but, do not flicker like others I have purchased. Also should have read the abbreviated text for button batteries NOT included... printed as bat excl... Would return then if it was easier.2
Perfect for Christmas votiveshollyreThese were perfect for use at Christmas time in various votive holders. The only problem is that I had to buy separate batteries.4
Love these!OV RNThese tea lights are so nice to be automated and so little trouble.5
Doesn"t come with batteries.SD AuntieI bought these tea lights to light up a holiday mini city display. When I brought these home, I realized that they needed batteries, which I didn't have. I don't think the display stated that they were lacking batteries. I wish that they had mentioned this and that the batteries were situated next to the tea lights. I kept one set and returned the other set. I would have returned the other set, but had already opened it and thrown away the box. I ended up buying more tea lights at Target. They came with batteries and were smaller than tea lights from Ikea.2
Gives a cozy light!Anna and EmmaReally like these candles! They flicker like a real one and work well in a pumpkin. Will buy another set next time!5
Pleasantly SurprisedmegkrismomI bought these tea lights without realizing that they automatically shut off after six hours and then turn on again 24 hours later! This is wonderful! No more turning each individual light off and on in my Halloween decorations! The only reason I gave it four starts instead of five is that the batteries do not come with it. I would definitely recommend this product!4
Great except for......DiteeI would give this product 5 stars had the batteries been included, or minimally, the correct batteries been placed next to the product. I had no idea till I got home and noticed that it wouldn’t turn on that there were no batteries. And you need a screwdriver to even find that out. Luckily I had 1 of the correct batteries at home, so I could use the 1 lite I needed. I love the timer feature! So...lites are great, but buyer beware....buy batteries!4
Batteries not included!enseelaIt is not clear from the package that batteries are not included. *Then* you have to unscrew the back of each tealight to insert the battery, and you need a tiny screwdriver (like the ones that come with an eyeglass repair kit). Even for IKEA, this is unusually tedious.1
