This comfortable sofa has pocket spring seat cushions with high resilience foam and a top layer of wadding. It provides a nice comfort and support for your body while maintaining the shape of the seat cushions.
The sofa's sections can be combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you. If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two.
Storage space under the seat. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.
You can place the chaise section to the left or right of the sofa, and switch whenever you like.
This cover is made of dope-dyed Gunnared fabric in polyester. It is a durable fabric with a wool-like feel, a warm look and a two-toned mélange effect.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and machine washable.

Chic, durable sectional for family of four.Jessica F.I am fairly certain that while this isn’t my favorite couch I’ve owned, I am satisfied with what we got being good quality and in an affordable price range. I simply did not want to finance more furniture while having pets and young children —and frankly, the quality of a given piece is irrelevant when you factor in damage from scissors, spills, and chewing/clawing over 2-3 years. That said, I could not justify spending $2500-5000 on another living room set and taking on more debt and wanted to find a quality piece that will remain comfortable and look modern within a realistic timeframe for my family. The piece is easy to vacuum and stains wipe clean with baby wipes thus far. I will say that the chaise is a bit short when used with pillows (and I’m only 5’2) —the head support is sparse. However, I do find this couch to be supportive and comfortable and the navy blue looks very tasteful in our home. It also gives off negligible formaldehyde according to my Dyson TP09. Good job IKEA!4
Couch design is awful, bad qualityIV T.I bought this couch, along with almost the entire Hauga collection. The items were spread across multiple deliveries and each delivery had something broken. The chaise portion of the couch had a crack down the middle and in the storage compartment. It is a horrible design. They tout washable covers but to take off the covers, you need to take off the arm rests, which are a pain to put on because one of the metal screws goes through a tiny hole in the cover. It was impossible to line it up. It’s also maddening that you can’t get the arm rest and back covers dirty because then you have to take the entire couch apart. They also cut corners on quality of the cushions (uncomfortable, back cushions are lumpy and too soft), the fabric itself, and the fact that the back cover of bottom cushions is a thin cotton-like fabric rather than fabric of the cushion. This makes it worrisome to put on the covers because the zipper is sewn to a t-shirt like material. Now waiting for customer service ugh1
An affordable and versatile couch.DanielI really like that it's modular and that I can change up the configuration down the road as I move into different places. I also really like that the covers are washable and changeable which is important with two little kids. The storage area under the chaise seat is a bonus.
It is comfortable and practical. The optional and removeable headrests work well as well.5
Great looking and comfortableCarolynThis is a very comfortable sofa and is good looking. It wasn't too hard to put together, but make sure you have a truck if you want to take this home. It comes in two full flatbed carts.

BEAUTIFUL SOFA!AnonymousThe Finnala has a beautiful aesthetic,, it looks far more expensive than it costs...
I notice many sharing that the cushions were difficult to put into the covers... the trick I found with that issue is to put the cushions in immediately after opening the plastic wrapped in as they are compressed and if younopen and wait beyond a few hours they already begin to expand, thus harder to put into the covers... and yes, they will appear lumpy initially, but that will subside after a few days and a bit of smoothing out.
I assembled mine alone. I purchased the sofa and chaise combination, and though some steps were a bit difficult, I managed to assemble it just fine in two hours (had to rest after wrestling a bit with connecting the arms and back, mind you 65yo woman).
Overall, I would say that it's a good value for the price and look of it.
The cushions are a bit on the firm side, but that was exactly what I need, and the height is perfect (arthritic/hip replacement, and I'm 5'10 tall). :u1F970:5

Flexible and well madeJorgeWe purchased several pieces to make a L shape with a chaise and a futon. It took us a while to put together but the instructions were clear. We like the flexibility of the modular system. The cushions are very comfortable and the fabric is warm and nice to the touch. Everything fits really well except for the futon top cover which is a bit on the larger side. Great choice.4

I love the add'l storage under the chaise to hold extra throws/blankets. You can also find customized covers and legs from various online sellers.5
Chemical smell that won’t come offAnastasia P.Months later reeks of chemical smell. We even washed the covers twice ...(which by the way are coming apart after two washings). After waiting for this sofa for a long time because ikea is supposed to be formaldehyde conscious... having it still reek - I honestly can’t even use it! Might have to find a new sofa... again!2

Great Look but VERY uncomfortable chaisekj20We bought this sectional at the start of COVID. was really pleased with the look of it since it looks very similar to a crate and barrel sectional that was 4k+ and is slip covered which is great for our pets. i looked at a ton of reviews on blogs and even youtube where people mentioned how much they loved this couch. We bought a 'U' shape. While i love the color and look, the chaise pieces are SO uncomfortable. The middle is very comfortable so if you are buying just the sofa then I'd say it's a great buy at a price that can't be beat. But wow if you buy anything with a chaise, it is rock hard and does not soften over time. returning asap.2
Beautiful, expensive looking sofa!BPowersPurchased in Gunnard Beige. Assembly: easier than expected. Possible with 1 person but 2 is helpful when connecting sections together. Highly suggest steaming the upholstery before covering cushions. The back cushions fit very tightly into the covers and were a challenge to zip. They appeared to be lumpy at first but after punching and fluffing them they look fine! Final product: I love the aesthetic of the sofa. Cushions are firm and supportive but very comfortable. Fabric is soft and cushions seem very easy to remove and wash if necessary. The chaise section and back cushion are slightly wider than the other single seat sections of the sofa but it’s hardly noticeable. (I noticed this was an issue for a lot of people in the Vimle series which is discontinued). I would suggest getting throw pillows for the corners of the sofa by the armrests to add some additional padding for comfort. Overall very happy with this product and exactly the type of sofa I was looking for and not as challenging to assemble as I expected!5
Nothing Fits and Poor Quality CoverscouchtomatoI wouldn't want my worst enemy to purchase this couch. The quality of the covers has the feel of a coarse burlap sack, and the the zippers are poorly manufactured. The back cushion for the chase section was comically larger than the rest of the back cushions, which were also larger than the covers provided. This resulted in very lumpy back cushions and zippers on the verge of ripping. As for the feel of the cushions themselves, nothing would compare better than an al dente cardboard box. Seriously. If I were to take the cardboard boxes in which this couch were shipped and fill them with more cardboard, I would have a more comfortable couch than the Finnala. Overall, $800 was wildly over priced for the very poor comfort and quality the Finnala provides.1
Great sofa.Finnala back pillowGreat sofa, easy to assemble. Couple of tricks, buy a 13mm long socket and 3/8” socket drive. Before final tightening of armrest, and/ or chaise, and/or armrest, ensure seams are lined up and straight. Also, back pillows on sofa are not same as chaise, chaise is bigger and more full. Not same part and chaise pillow can’t be ordered separately. Bottom pillow, look at bags and get the most full and solid as possible, some are a little compressed, these won’t look as full with cover on and you can also substitute w 20350969. Back pillow are vacuum packed and look lumpy when open end. may consider Substitute with 40350973.4
