Pocket springs that follow your body. The top layer of fiber balls and the soft, embracing feeling makes the sofa inviting and comfortable to relax in, for as long as you like.
Djuparp cover is made of velvet which, through a traditional weaving technique gives the fabric a warm, deep color and a soft surface with a dense pile and light, reflective shine.
The velvet is woven from viscose and polyester, which makes it durable.
The tall legs in solid wood make it easy to vacuum or reach toys and other things hiding under the sofa.

The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the color appear as if it changes.
Small fibers may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a lint roller.
Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear in time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

Sofa that holds upDEB K.I’ve had my farlov since 2018. I started with the tan cover and washed it twice. I didn’t dry it completely to make it easier to put back and conform to sofa. No trouble. I replaced the cover to the velvet dark gray in 2021. The look is rich and it cleans up nicely. The seating is deep and very comfortable including back cushions. I have a house full of Ethan Allen furniture, and I still highly recommend this sofa.5

Beautiful SofaDorisI love the design of the Farlov sofa. I especially like the look of the one seat cushion. It's sleek and definitely makes a statement in my living room. As far a comfort, it's much firmer than I'm use to but I like that I'm not sinking down like most sofas I tested. I purchased the white which is not a bright white. It's more of a soft white. I'm plan on purchasing the gray cover as well so I can change it up when I get tired of the white.5
Didn’t live up to the hypeAnonymousI was so happy to see that our local IKEA had this sofa back in stock. I’d seen it posted on various decor blogs and loved the look and price compared to similar sofas from PB, RH, etc. Unfortunately, I’m not pleased with the cushions or cover. The back cushions are seriously lacking in filling. The instructions mention waiting a few days for them to expand- ours barely expanded and do not begin to fill the slipcover. There is little to no support and our less than one month old sofa looks years old and shabby. The bench cushion remains seriously wrinkled despite steaming, smoothing and anything else we could think of to try. You’ll definitely want a steamer if you decide to purchase. I consider returning mine on a daily basis,1
Comfy and EasyALEXANDRINAThe Farlov sofa is sturdy and easy to put together. The only update I would like to see is a little more space on the seat cushion cover to actually line up with the insert.4
Back cushions inadequateRosemarie S.We bought the sofa for its clean lines and large seating, it came highly recommended by friends, however it seems the small cushions as well as the back cushions have changed since they purchased this sofa in previous years. Theirs are great quality and fill out more, mine little pillows are cheap stuffing and so not even fill out the pillow cases. The back cushions laid flat in a room for 72+ hours as recommended and they are small as well and not great quality so obviously they have started to cheap out on this design. Sad as it’s a beautiful sofa but we are considering returning it and looking for more long term comfort as you cannot even buy additional inserts. The cover is also not super pet friendly as the previous sofa covers we’ve had from Ikea.3

Comfier and larger than expected!DianaThis couch exceeded my expectations! I love the velvet slipcover and the seat depth of the couch is super deep. It definitely gets comfier over time, but I've had some friends crash at my place and they swear that it's the comfiest couch they've ever slept on. I haven't tested that out yet, but I definitely would recommend it!5

Comfy and WashableCouchSurferWe love Farlov for its size! My husband and I are both 6 feet tall and chose this couch for its ability to fit both of reclining comfortably. It has served us well as our primary seating to watch tv during the quarantine. The construction is solid, it’s built like a mattress; our cat destroyed the interior of our last couch while Farlov looks pretty much unchanged since we assembled it six months ago. This couch has a washable slipcover, which is a must for me. After the first wash essentially moved the dirt around I changed my strategy for wash #2. First I attacked the worst sections of the seat cushion with stain remover. I left it to soak in my washer (let it fill and then turn it off) in warm/hot water with Dr. Bronner’s. Five hours later I ran the wash cycle on the hottest setting with two Tide pods and a cap of Oxiclean White Revive in the bleach dispenser. The dirt stain is gone and the streaks of bleach are much less visible. If that sounds too arduous for you, you can replace the slipcover with something from Bemz or ComfortWorks!4
Great Sofaangie526Very well made and comfortable sofa, the shape makes it look high end for the price. My only complaint would be the selection of slipcovers. I wish they came in the same fabrics as the ektorp and some of the other styles. The fabric on the farlov is a little scratchy and the weave of it easily catches pet hair.4
Great value and styleSarah810We purchased two of the Farlov white sofas, a armchair and ottoman. They were appealing to us because the covers are all machine washable but they’re so much less expensive than restoration hardware or pottery barn. They arrived quickly but we had an issue with one of the couches not getting the ends and a slip cover. I contacted ikea and we received one within a few days! We love how deep the seating is, it allows plenty of room for other pillows and throws without having to take them off every single time you sit down like smaller couches. We love that we can wash them because we have dust and pet allergies so beyond the need to wash if they get dirty, we know they can be cleaned at any time to help with allergens. The covers are not the most comfortable but they sell replacement covers and different companies sell some to fit the farlov as well. Overall, we have had them almost a year and we love all of them. Pillows are still in great shape, cushions are in great shape too! We did have one pillow get a hole in it when the cover was off to be washed but that hasn’t caused an issue when taking the covers on and off at all.5
Best couch EVER!sarahpbI bought this couch in white, and when it arrived it was even better than I expected! It’s super cute and soooo comfortable, and it fits my shabby chic style. I opted to cover mine with bleached drop cloths bc we have dogs and kids. It looks amazing!!! It totally looks like a much more expensive couch, just like the ones in Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn (which I considered buying when I was looking at couches, but they were waaaay too much money) at a fraction of the price. I can’t recommend this couch any higher; it’s even better in person than it was online. We have gotten SO many compliments, and I would totally buy it again. Thanks, IKEA!5

Only had 1 day - but SO SO happy with this.Lindsey3305I was worried about buying this sofa because of a few bad reviews here, but I couldn’t be happier with it. Assembly was easy if you followed the directions in the booklet and in the review in this thread about lining up the holes and snugging the bottles before making them super tight. Here are a few points: 1) Shape: just beautiful. Looks like Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn. The arms are lovely and the back is great. We have 9ft ceilings, and I love the scale of this sofa in the room. Not squatty looking at all. The seat cushion being one piece is so great. Nice to know nothing will get lost in the cracks 2) Depth: really like how deep it is. I’m 5’7”, and it’s fine for me. Just sitting on it without throw pillows, if my back is on the back of the sofa, my calves hit the front edge of the sofa (rather than the back of my knees). I’m a leg curler so I do not mind at all having extra space to cozy up to my husband and kids. The depth is so nice for nap taking. This sofa is the best!5

I like the deep seating because it’s cozy and allows for curling up. My husband and I and our two Irish Setters all pile up for movie night. We have the white cover and the slate velvet.
