Product details

A simple unit can be enough storage for a limited space or the foundation for a larger storage solution if your needs change.

You can choose to place the cabinet on the floor or mount it on the wall to free up floor space.

Assembly is quick and easy, thanks to the wedge dowel that clicks into the pre-drilled holes.

Sleek and efficientRobynA nice compact bookcase shelf, that has a neutral color, plenty of room for books and dvds/cds, and is easy to keep dusted.5
I still can not assembleDAILYI still can not assemble this item. Never have had an issue assembling any item that required assembly. The shelves are not lining up. The numbers are not printed as the diagram in the instructions.1
Great storage and sizeHollyWe started off rough trying to get the parts to 'click' together but with the help of a rubber mallet and a towel on the floor it worked. It looks great and the color is so versatile.5
Good qualityCarolThis cube storage is very sturdy and easy to assemble.5
STURDY PRODUCTarianna f.my boyfriend had the issue everyone else had but I realized there is one small indication he missed thats easy to miss, after we fixed it it was great. The slide part is not easy to do w your hands so I just stepped on it easy solution.5
Horrific design flawsJessica H.I have purchased many IKEA products over the years, all with varying levels of difficulty. I have never dealt with anything like this before. The keyhole slots for the inside shelves do not match the plastic dowels. The dowels snap off easily. It is so poorly designed and so difficult to get to snap together. I am beyond frustrated that I drove six hours to get these items. I very much want my money back for these 4 that I bought.1
Horrible designJessica H.This is literally the worst thing I have ever bought at IKEA. The holes do not line up. No matter how you figure it out, the holes that are supposed to be so easy to snap together do not line up. I am considering going on a 6 hour drive again just so I can return them because they are that terrible. I want my money back. I’d prefer to not have to drive 6 hours to get it. I bought 4 of these. I regret it immensely. I have built so many IKEA products, and I have never been so frustrated. Please note that this would be zero stars if they allowed it.1
closet is great with these installedMICHAELour closet reorganization using eket from ikea looks like ones costing thousands yet it only cost hundreds. value way beyond cost.5
Great for booksLisaWe love this shelf in our son's room for his books. It looks great, especially with the wood legs on the bottom. It's a little unsteady on the carpet but we anchored it to the wall so there's no chance of it tipping over.5

Simple, sturdy shelvesacfilThis shelving unit is perfect! I got it in Golden Brown which was a lovely pop of color for my space. Please don't listen to other reviewers saying this is hard to put together. If you have a rubber mallet, this goes together in a breeze. The fasteners are already in the wood, you just follow the instructions, place the correct pieces together and gently tap them until they are flush. The back is also easy to slide in. Couldn't be simpler. And the result is a nice, functional and sturdy shelf.5
Good cabinet - off box size - hard to find cubesorganized momI have two of these in my daughter's nursery. I assumed I'd be able to find matching fabric bins at Ikea - but they have almost no options. After searching at 3 other large retailers, I have pretty much given up. The strange size of the cubby makes it difficult to find anything that will work with it. Wish I had bought something else. If you plan to have open store - great! Just don't buy this and plan to find bins for it.4
Perfection / something oddAnonymousAfter having built Eket with drawers / push doors / cubes and having no crafty skills whatsoever I thought it was time to write this review to assure anyone reading the negative reviews that there is something odd going on. If you follow the instructions then this is without a doubt one of the best IKEA building experiences I have ever had. It is so simple and fast that I wonder why I ever put up with Kallax, Pax and Billy. Even the wall mounting and tip over solution is light years better than it used to be at IKEA. Thank you for this wonderful product that is so versatile and flexible.5
GreatMagofaBought this in light grey to contrast dark grey Eket drawers and cabinet. Looks great! Easy to put together5
NicekatiemarleneThis unit was fairly easy to assemble! I was mistakenly a little too rough with one of the shelves when pushing them together and broke off one of the little pieces that are meant to fit in the holes. However--it still held together perfectly and you'd never know. I love that the Eket units are so versatile and I can add onto this.5
So far, insurmountable problemsRonnieOI purchased the Eket Cabinets with 4 compartments in order to build a wall of cabinets approximately 11 feet long by 7 feet tall. I am a very handy person. I can do woodworking and electrical, that is, I have some skills in this area. The first and lesser (less personal) concern is that at my local store, the Schaumburg, Illinois store, they display a very similar wall of Eket Cabinets, but the tag attached to the display references the incorrect, narrower base, so I purchased the wrong base. At and hour there and back, this is a big deal for me. It's a lot of time to go back there to replace the wrong base. Also, I'm more than a little miffed that I e-mailed them about this and received only a form response with info about returning defective products. My overriding concern was that someone who doesn't know what I know would use the narrower base they identify as the correct base--and that that base, which definitely is as wide as the cabinets but not nearly deep enough to support them, could lead to a catastrophic injury, or worse. (In this regard, too, it is somewhat maddening that there's no way to directly call or e-mail a store manager to directly alert a responsible, able human to this issue.) The second problem is that, having built three of these cabinets so far, I have only been able to successfully attach the final piece to each cabinet once, that is, I had serious problems with 2 of 3 cabinets so far. It is VERY difficult to figure out how to successfully get that final piece onto the cabinet, and after hours of attempts to do so last night I finally gave up in frustration. This is weird because the other parts of the assembly are a total breeze--quick, easy and pretty difficult to goof up if you follow the directions. That last part, though, I just don't know what to do, and so far I haven't found any online solutions/advice. So, with something that gets me so close, but that I can't successfully finish, therefore (at this point) making these unusable, I have to give it 1 star, and have to even give it that 1 star reluctantly.1
Easy to assemble, follow instructions carefully.BodydojoHas plenty of storage for my kid's books. I bought these with the raised wooden feet which i recommend because they come with adjustable feet. Be sure to read the instructions and orient the unit properly. The middle part of the box divider needs to be the single long piece. A lot of people may be confused and stand the box up the wrong way. I like the no tools assembly. I can put this together in just a few minutes.5
Cheap productJack288I ordered two, one went together no problem the other was problematic and the cheap quality material broke in several places.2
Worst assembly ever!mseapeaI never write reviews, but the assembly for this product is terrible. And painful on your hands as the only way to snap the various pieces is to pound with your hand. Even a mallet would damage the cheap particle board. Made it to the final piece and it won't snap in. very unhappy.1
AWFUL assembly designjayandgelWORST Assembly design I have ever seen for a simple product. We went to IKEA for a storage solution for the office. Loved that the simple design came in beautiful colors which is what I was looking for. When we went to assemble the product the instructions were poor and the holes on the product never lined up. After fighting for numerous hours on a product that was never going to fit together we gave up. Worst 55.00 I have ever spent and we won't mention the wasted time. We ended up going to a local Target for a similar product that was much cheaper and 100% easier to assemble (took 10 min). The only unfortunate part was we did not have the color options. Wish this would've worked as it was exactly what we were looking for but sadly the product is not worth the money, frustration, or time. We live about an hour away from the closest IKEA also so it will be more wasted time trying to return the item.1
