Bed frame brokeMe0910My husband and I spent the day fixing broken slats on the bed frame. I’m very disappointed in Ikea. I purchased this for my two year old (now three) and expected a design that could uphold child’s play every now and then. The frame just doesn’t make any sense and the slats split in half. My husband and I spent this evening trying to find away to connect the main support beam and reattach it back to the bed frame when it broke. Terrible just terrible.1
Don’t waste your money!Bri2211Unfortunately I purchased this for my toddler thinking it would be a great bed but we were horribly wrong! It’s poorly designed and the middle pieces that are supposed to hold the bed up do not do their job! IKEA IS NO HELP with the issues I’m having as I’ve reached out multiple times and got nowhere, no help nothing but a message saying go talk to someone at the store! Definitely DO NOT recommend!1
LakeyaI currently have this bed and noticed with its full out, it was to long. I would like to order the hemnes twin bed. ( 402.495.60) will this bed be as long as the busunge bed ?5
My daughter loves it but design could be sturdyTejindereDesign is really good. My daughter loves her “pink princess” bed. The middle of the frame and support could be made sturdier ..my daughter (35 lbs) jumped on her bed and the middle frame cracked..request Ikea to add more beam in the middle4
Great quality and super cute & cozyMSK505We’ve had this bed for 3 years and we still love it. My daughter is about to turn 5, and the bed has grown with her wonderfully. The frame and frame finish are very durable. The slats have withstood some epic jumping from my little girls (although I do NOT condone or recommend jumping! But, it happens). It’s easy to adjust, and has maintained its durability through multiple adjustments. The mattress is kind of a pain while putting sheets on, it has multiple parts which allows for the extend ability. Once sheets are on though, it’s very cozy. i do recommend getting the IKEA sheets in the various sizes as traditional twin sheets fit pretty loose. And, most importantly, my daughter LOVES it. I’m about to buy an additional bed for our youngest who is two. Our first bed has held up so well, we can’t pass it down as originally intended. Great problem to have!5
Great bedCC2019We’ve had the bed for 3 years and it’s still in great shape. No bowing like other people have mentioned. We put a memory foam topper on top of the mattress and it’s very comfortable. I’ve slept on it a few times and felt great the next day.5
Sturdybeanie1Straightforward to put together. Sturdy bed that should be perfect for my daughter for the next few years. She loves that it is pink!4
Extremely let downIris05I bought this bed for my daughter because I loved how it extended sad to say I’m on such a tight budget I can’t even afford to buy something else!!! the frame broke it’s so badly made it’s not even a year old I just want to cry.. ikea you can do so much better come on this is a child bed... I hope someone can reach out to me and send a replacement frame1
Rickety FrameRickety FrameMy daughter loved this bed when we first bought it. But not long after the wooden slats started to break so that her bed is severely bowed in the middle. I would not re omens this product. It has been an unfortunate waste of money as we were hoping Robbie able to reuse it for her younger sisters.2
Not sturdy!TgvenableWe purchased 2 of these beds for our 3 and 4 year old. We thought it would be a great investment because of its ability to extend. We were greatly disappointed. The bottom of the bed started to break. We contacted customer service a few times but with no luck. After attempting to fix the bed we finally gave in and purchased new beds. The bed is also very heavy.1
Great BedEmely11We got this bed for our daughter and she fall in love with it. Thanks5
needyits more of a question would anyone know if this bead is a twin bead or a full ?5
Perfect fit for our room, and for growth.Deke513Bought this last month. We couldn't get our 2 year old daughter to sleep alone. First night we bought this, she loaded it with her new pillows and slept alone. She loves it.5
Not sturdy! And too widekhyberWe bought this for our 5 year old a few months ago. Within a few days of her sleeping on it, we noticed that the bed had buckled in the middle. The wood plank in the middle of frame that allows it to extend is a weak link. By far the most frustrating buy from Ikea.1
DisappointedYiayiaPurchased this bed for my Granddaughter and she absolutely loves it. Really wished I would have gone with the reviews on this. While putting this bed together many pieces did not fit flush so it was very frustrating and now the bed is literally falling apart starting with the center legs that are held in there with a goofy tiny screw. Tried calling customer service several times to see what could be done but literally have waited on hold for over an hour twice and still didn't speak to anyone. Im not sure if we just got a dud or what.1
very goodYunZhaiA little some smell, just worry about healthy for children.5
GreatDolley 13I buy two extadalle bed two month ago , l love it!4
UncomfortabletgqqWe got this bed last year for my daughter. İt looked nice and cosy for her. İt is the most uncomfortable be. After couple of days my daughter refused to sleep. We tought she will get used to it. I tried to sleep there because my daughter wanted to sleep in master bedroom. Everytime I tried to sleep there I got up with backaches. Plus matress is so thin it will make you cold in winter time. After couple times of total use it is in our garage. If you are thinking dor toddler that may work but older ages I definitly would consider different ones.1
Wonderful bed!momoflotsofkidsI have 6 children and this is by far the BEST toddler bed that I have ever purchased! And the fact that it extends twice and will make a twin size bed is extra icing on the cake! Love, love, love this bed!!! My daughter thinks it's cute too ;)5

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

“When I designed the BUSUNGE furniture series I thought about how children use their room and relate to the furniture. I have a 4-year-old myself and know that a child’s room is their own territory – and their furniture should both inspire play and be safe to play with. That's why I rounded all the edges. And scaled the furniture to a child’s size so it would be comfortable to use and encourage them to be independent. With durable surfaces and an enduring style, BUSUNGE will last for a long time. I hope you even pass it down to a younger sister or brother – it’s good for the environment!”
