Pretty much the whole leftMichellePretty much the whole left side ripped out of the pegs when I stood it up.1
So cute!MamaXiongBought this a few weeks ago for our nursery to double as a changing station. I love the neutral color and 9 small drawers for easy organization. the drawers also have a stay open function which is super useful. Just need to install childproofing when baby gets older.5
NiceTinarnTook a while to put together but wasn’t bad. Just a lot of pieces. Pay attention to direction of door slides. Nice sturdy dresser.4
Beautiful But Nightmare BuildVenuti89Unfortunately and fortunately, I see we are far from the only ones with the same issues so it’s clearly a problem. It’s not even about how long it takes to put together, it’s about how legitimately complicated it is, even checking and double-checking every little instruction. Bottom line, it’s a beautiful dresser but if you buy it, be ready to spend (and possibly waste) over half a day putting it together.2
ConnieplantsExceptional piece of useful furniture5
Literally throwing money away, LiterallyAlexd23112I bought a variety of dresser on one trip, came home to assemble this one, it’s not marked well AT ALL. Entire thing broke in half while trying assemble, never even got to he point of assembling the drawers. Now my clothes sit in a pile on the floor and I lost my money. Beyond disappointed.1
First total IKEA failureAnnwelderI purchased this dresser a week ago. I have been assembling IKEA furniture for 20 years and always marveled at the engineering and wordless instructions. These instructions were BAD. The hardware (139615) that the cams (194531 and 113434) tighten onto are either too short at the screw end or the particle board into which it screws is poor. The screws rip out when manipulating the frame to attach other portions. Because the frame is flimsy when attaching the bottom and top, manipulation of the inner frame causes everything to fall apart and tear the outer skin. Very poor process for assembly. Quality control?1
typical, but with a little metalbtdoughtyWe opted for different knobs and it makes a nice entryway cabinet.5
Nightmare AssemblySmannThe instructions are your typical IKEA instructions, which don’t normally lead to problems. However, in this case, half way through when we put together the middle section it completely fell apart when we attached it to the base. We ended up taking it apart and following our own instincts and putting it together in pieces. For the price we paid, we were not about to throw it away. But I am very disappointed in IKEA on this one.1
NightmareFabulous1234We are usually big fans of ikea and have bought quite a few pieces of furniture. It’s the first time that we have one collapsing on us. At step 33, the whole thing ripped apart as the screw and wood sticks cannot support the weight of the furniture!! Unbelievable, the whole thing is good for the trash. Afterwards, I read the reviews only to realize other people got exactly the same issue!! Wish I had read them before I bought it!! Do not buy!1
moniquedawndrawers are very cheaply made - a mess1
Sharp looking chestBubbl3headBought to replace an older dresser, this piece offers plenty of storage in a sharp professional package.4
Pay attention to detailsUnewillowMy husband and I bought this dresser to use in our nursery. We breezed through the assembly (not our first Ikea rodeo) until we went to put the drawers in and realized we had put the whole middle bit in upside-down. So it took us an extra half hour or so to carefully take it apart and flip, and put back together. If you are purchasing this piece pay careful attention during building to which direction your drawer slides are facing!! Overall we love how it looks and hope it will stand up to years of (ab)use.4
Excellent piece of furniturecg918Bought this a month ago, took awhile to assemble but the pay off is well worth it. Its sturdy and holds all of my items. My room is fairly small and this dresser's dimensions worked better than most. The color is perfect and was exactly the style I am going for.5
hardest thing I have ever put togethertbillI love this furniture piece but it was the worst thing I have ever put together by IKEA. it fell apart multiple times while I was building it ruining the dowels and screws. The material is so weak that it wouldn't even hold together during building.3
Terrible productMish40This dresser is a nightmare to put together and the product itself is very flimsy. We are extremely disappointed in this product as it was very expensive to purchase and will be absolutely useless to us. I can't even imagine trying to take it apart, box it and return it. Buyer beware!1
NIGHTMAREschmitts88First, I'd like to say that I normally am a HUGE fan of Ikea furniture; I love the styles and quality and I find it fun to build... This piece though, has been nothing but a headache: The quality is sub-par and constructing it has been absolutely miserable. There is no easy way to put this together and once I did start making headway, the screw and lock bits pulled out of the one side, I tried reattaching and once I went to attach the base they pulled right out again. I had to throw the brand new piece away because it simply wasn't salvageable any longer. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Save yourself the time and money and choose a different dresser.1
Nice dresserKaraMSWe recently purchased this dresser for our daughter’s nursery and are very happy with it. I can’t comment on putting the dresser together as someone else did it for us, but he had it put together within 1.5 hours and said overall it was pretty easy. It’s very sturdy, spacious but yet fits into our very small nursery nicely. The drawer pulls are a bit tiny for the size of the dresser so I bought larger different ones that look much better. would definitely recommend.5
Drawers could be betterJCIkea11Drawers are easy to put together which is good since there are nine of them. But the sides and back of the drawers are metal and not nearly as high as the drawer face so contents may fall out and down the back. So, a bit disappointed since it doesn’t maximize storage space. I didn’t notice this in the showroom. Plus, I thought is was a bit pricey at $269, especially when I compare it it to the Hemnes dressers which are solid wood. This is particle board.3
