Breautiful and sturdyAnonymous reviewerI have three of these: one in my dining room to store china, and two in my office for books. The shelving is a bit tricky for books, but with a little creativity I made it work, and it makes my office look like a million bucks. I used a small drop of wood glue on the tips of each dowel and let it cure overnight before final assembly, and it seemed to make a difference as these cabinets are solid as a rock and don't wobble one bit.

Really wanted to like this cabinet…PatriciaI bought this hoping to replace my Billy bookshelves. But the shelf spacing is not conducive for storing books. I’d either have to remove a shelf completely or reposition them, so as to make one shelf completely impractical for my use.
Product quality, fresh out of the packaging.
There’s a small dent in on of the piecs. But it’s inconspicuous enough to overlook and chalk it up to human error in packaging.
Also, there’s a 2- inch scratch on an interior piece. But it’s not visible once the piece is assembled.
Inexplicably, IKEA did not create a smooth edge on the side pieces that connect to the top outer surface. So where those edges meet, there’s a visible line of particle board. This make an otherwise attractive piece look cheap.
And the doors don’t align evenly — one sits slightly higher than the other. I’d be willing to overlook this if not for the seam of particle board.

Awful quality SuzanneThe back cracked into bits as I nailed it in and the sides chipped off with no effort. The doors were impossible to install. I HATED putting this thing together. It’s done now and feels flimsy and I regret the purchase. The shelves are weird heights for books.

Sizing is an issueOrvilleI love both of my display cases with a big caveat - I originally purchased the tall version and have had no problems. I added the matching, short case later and discovered that they are not the same DEPTH - the tall case is 13 3/4" deep and the short case is 16 1/8. I have put them next to each other, so the short one sticks out from the tall one . . . which looks awkward. I should have looked at depth, but it is one dimension that is easy to overlook and not unreasonable to assume that since they look exactly the same, the would BE exactly the same, except for height. Purchasers of tall and short version together BEWARE.

Nice cabinet JimThis is a nice little piece of furniture. Everything fit nicely and pretty easy to assemble. There was in part where I struggled with the picture not being detailed enough but overall it was not bad. I recommend the product.

What is particleboard?
