OK for nowStellaBlueWe needed an affordable sleeper sofa that isn’t too big & bulky - this one fits the bill until IKEA designs a better sleeper sofa around this size. Pros: good for small-mid size living rooms, good for guests, nice storage in the ottoman, I like that you can take slip covers off & clean them. Cons: the frame is metal & when my 7 yr old daughter jumps on the couch (even though I’ve told her a million times not to lol) it feels like it’ll fall apart, the arms are very skinny (add throw pillows), speaking of pillows, it took forever for these pillows to “fluff up” & they’re still not perfect. I miss my old IKEA sleeper sofa w/ the side chaise that they don’t make anymore! I forgot the name of it. It was great but only came in black or red & we finally had to get rid of our black one bc it didn’t fit in w/ our new place.3
Rather bad sofa, passable bedamanda98I am a college student and I have slept on this for about a year now. As a bed, it's much more comfortable than you would think. It isn't heavenly, but I'm relatively sensitive and sleeping on it hasn't caused me any trouble. It is also quite sturdy. It's more problematic if you're mainly trying to use it as a couch. The back cushions are not very comfortable at all; that combined with the metal frame means that several extra pillows are a necessity if you want to sit (rather than lie) on this couch somewhat comfortably. In terms of style, the gray green (I would just say gray really) is inoffensive and neutral, so that the numerous pillows you will be forced to pile onto it can be the star of the show without clashing with the sofa. Don't choose the red unless you have some very well coordinated pillows in mind for it. Overall, it is hard to get any sofa bed of this length for a price like this, and it does perform the task of a bed well enough that I haven't returned it. I will say that it is an utter pain to assemble, and I had to exchange a troublesomely large part of the couch that was missing one of the pre-assembled pieces. I do kind of expect this with IKEA though, and the customer service was quick once I actually got around to hauling the piece back to the store. I recommend this if you're looking for a very inexpensive item that will function mainly as a bed and only occasionally as a couch.3
Do Not BuyHorribleProductThis just delivered in about 150 pieces. How can a couch require this much assembly? Horrible purchase decision.1
Don"t botherEl BiggieI bought this over the weekend and the sleeper that folds under the sofa didn't come with it. I went back and they're telling me I have to return the one I have and buy another one!!! I'm getting my money back and buying a sleeper somewhere else.2
Lexi123This couch is not comfortable at all. The cushions are hard as rock and they're flat.1
Feels and looks great!Jope77I am very happy with my purchase. I assembled it myself without any problems. The cover needed a little re-sowing in the seam, but no big deal. It’s comfortable, lightweight and functional. I added two small pillows on each side to compensate for the narrow armrests. Perhaps two backside pillows would have been better (like your other model) but this fabric is great! Also, the roll out piece that fits underneath needs some sort of cover. It is also easy to turn into a bed. A well priced sectional sleeper.4
Great budget couch.Chef TabsThere weren't any of these couches on the showroom but we took a risk. It was easy to assemble; it took me 2 hours by myself. - The whole couch is built on a metal thin metal frame. It's easy to stub your foot on the legs, but you learn to get used to avoiding them. -Pretty solid construction, doesn't make any noise yet. -The back cushions aren't that comfortable, but I reinforced them with foam sheet padding and they're great. - The arm rests have no cushioning whatsoever, but can be comfortable if you add some throw pillows on either corner. -The pull out bed works as expected, I think that it's rather comfortable. Overall, I think it's marvelous considering it's price. It's practical and will last me until I can afford something nicer.4
Terrible boney couchMaiferCThis couch is a fail. Uncomfortable and skeleton like. The cushions don't fluff up and the side arm rests are horrible. Unfunctional and hard to use.1
Not worth the moneyBrooklyn8Being on a limited budget my husband and I thought this would be the perfect couch. We purchased this sleeper sofa for our front room when family comes to visit. However, after assembly we are less then thrilled with our purchase. This couch takes about 2.5 hours to assemble with two people. The cushions recommend you let leave them out for 72 hours to become full. After leaving the cushions out for 72 hours they are no where near full enough to make this couch comfortable. The cushion to cover the ottoman isn't large enough which leave's metal sticking out on the sides a huge saftey hazard especially for houses with children! If there was anyway I could take this couch back I would!2
