This sofa has an effortless stylishness and straightforward exterior with a well-tailored soft cover and comfortable inner pocket springs. The slim legs reinforce the tranquil and airy look.

The neat and balanced silhouette combined with an expressive look is a perfect base for making the sofa more personal with cushions and throws.

We have made ÄPPLARYD sofa super comfy with soft covers and puffy cushions together with pocket springs that follow your body and support diverse positions – from sitting upright to lying down and relaxing.

Choose your ÄPPLARYD with a cover you like. Soft velvet Djuparp in single-toned deep dark blue or rusty reddish brown, or the two-toned grey cotton blend of Lejde with a clear texture and deep color.

Comes in different sizes and shapes to suit both small and large spaces.

The chaise longue can be placed either to the left or right, so you can adapt the sofa to your space and your preferences.

  • To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

    The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the color appear as if it changes.

    Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear in time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

    Small fibers may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a lint roller.

    Wet marks should always be dried off as soon as possible to stop moisture penetration.

    Remove dust with a lint remover.

    Light stains can be removed with a damp sponge or a mild soapy solution.

    To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

  • The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 25,000 cycles. A cover that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.

Very happyKevinMy old Ikea Kivik couch had lost all its support and resilience. The cushions like marshmallows. My back increasingly unhappy. So it was time to consider an upgrade. When I first sat on the Applaryd at the store. I was struck by how firm it was. Yet.... it was still quite comfortable. Now, a few weeks down the road, I'm very happy with that decision. My back feels far more supported, and I can relax more easily. Not a cheap item, but IMHO worth the investment.5

The couch is comfortable and spacious but considering the quality and cost of the piece, I would steer clear of this product.1

If needed, the chaise can be switched to the other side, so that's great if you move and need it switched. A few throw pillows add more comfort as the back of the couch is as another reviewer wrote - at a 90 degree angle from the floor, but I find it comfortable as is. It's a tremendous value for what it is. It replaced a one year old custom curved and very pricey couch that was falling apart, and I wish this would have been available back then when I bought that one.5
Probably the best ikea couch / sectional and definitely the best sofa on the internet under $2000 by a wide marginTaire A.Aesthetically pleasing design, comfortable feel, amazing fabric, easy to install. I crossed shopped this sectional vs styles from mid range American and danish brands and this came out on top, sacrificing a bit of originality ( from a design perspective ) for overwhelming value. It is pleasant to look at, very comfortable to sit on, and quite solid to boot. It's the most used couch in our house and our 2 year old toddlers love it ( they spent a lot of time jumping up and down on it and it shows zero signs of wear although we've only owned it for 3-4 months ).5
ImpracticalAizadaI think the makers never tried sitting on the sofa themselves. We used to have a cheap couch from IKEA, and it was much more comfortable! The worst thing is the back pillow. The couch has a straight and rigid back, made at an angle of 90 degrees, as well as a short seat, which does not allow you to settle down with your legs and relax at all. The bulge of the back falls on the area above the waist. Our entire family is disappointed with this purchase. I would really love to return it but it would cost me another 500$ to pay movers.1
