Blue, not beigeSeanThis doesn’t look like the color online. In person it has lots of dark threads that are almost navy colored so the fabric from a far is a very light creamy blue. Extremely disappointing.
Very difficult to put onEvelynI really liked the idea of being able to remove and wash this but it is nearly impossible to put back on, it just ripped on me! We’ve only had this couch for 3 months and I’ve washed this cover twice. Annoyed I will already have to purchase a new cover if I want to wash it again. I followed the care instructions and let it air dry but while attempting to put the cover of the back corner of the cushion the seams ripped. The rip did make it easier to get over but I don’t see this holding up very well if we need to wash it again.
Very Poor Design UtkarshBought just the chaise seat and purchased the cover thinking it will completely cover the chaise seat. Left the back rest wood visible on the sides, chaise seat storage bin also wood and screws visible with cover being fit like a suit with half pants.
Very poor design.
If ikea is reading this, please send me the another order of this whole cover for free to fully cover my chaise seat as this looks very incomplete.
Expected product to be better for this price.
I can send pictures of it with the cover looking incomplete build in my living room.
Not satisfied with ikea
Went On EasyEvelynDid this entirely by myself. Putting the covers on is a little fiddly as it's so tight a fit, but fit it does. You might need a little help if you're on the weaker side. Otherwise looks and feels great!
cover retrofits to VIMLE *mostly*TriciaFyi if you have the VIMLE (prior version) of this furniture, the chaise cover fits SORT OF, mostly. The biggest difference is that the main chaise cushion cover (the big long guy) for Finnala has a full zipper enclosure set up so it's not just a matter of stretching the cover over the top and tucking in the Velcro sides. For finnala, the cover actually zippers around, which is cool, but doesn't quite fit the VIMLE because of how the hardware works so you can't fully zipper it and end up with a flap hanging under the bottom of the cushion. We tucked it up into itself and it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, yup, all the FINNALA covers work on VIMLE furniture as far as I can tell if you want to change up the look without buying new pieces. Durable fabric, love that it's washable. Enjoy!!
Firm but supportiveAmandaCushions are firm but very supportive which I like in a couch. Have only had for a short time though so I don’t know how long that will last. I like that I can just buy new inserts if they wear over time. I also think the couch is the perfect depth. Love the sleek arms for my little apartment (saves me room). Also love the storage in the chaise. Overall very pleased. Wish it was a little cheaper since I actually had to assemble it.. but it seems very well made.

What is cotton?
Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibers. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilizers and water.
