When considering the type of fairy lights to purchase, keep in mind whether your lights will be hung up in an indoor or outdoor space. If the lights have not been specifically designed for outdoor use, they may not work properly.
Pairing fairy lights with your home decor
Fairy lights come in all colors. However, warm white and cool white are by far the most popular.
Warm white lights have a golden or yellowish tint that go well with red and warm color schemes. It is the most welcoming and peaceful type of light as it creates a romantic and comforting ambiance like that of candlelight. On the other hand, ice white lights, also known as cool white lights, emit a bluish tone that complements blues and purples. Although both warm and cool white lights are commonly used indoors, warm lights are often preferred in intimate areas like bedrooms, while cool white lights are more suitable for common areas such as the kitchen, which require a brighter and more vibrant light.
