nice looks, poor design and terrible hardwareThis 3-drawer chest is a nice in match in outward appearance for other components in the IVAR line, and the frame is sturdy. But the poor design of the drawers and the terrible drawer slider hardware detracts significantly from its utility.
The bottoms of the drawers and back panel are a made of a flimsy fibreboard. This works fine for the back panel, which is more aesthetic than functional. But the fibreboard is awful for a drawer bottom. It bends under even a modest amount of weight, and easily slides loose. I strongly recommend getting small flathead wood screws to secure the fibreboard to the drawer slats. This will both keep the bottom of the drawer from falling out as well as increase the structural integrity of the drawer, keeping the frame from twisting. I'd suggest six screws per drawer, three on each side.
The rear slat of the drawers inexplicably uses ribbed nails made of plastic to fasten it to the side slats instead of using metal screws. This contributes to the loose frame of the drawers and to the bottom panel easily sliding out.
These dressers take a fair amount of time and effort to assemble. It's not particularly difficult, but is time consuming. Be sure to mount the drawer slider rails on the proper sides.
The drawer slider hardware is the worst aspect of this unit. With even a small amount of weight in the drawers, or with unevenly distributed weight, the drawers routinely slip off the rails. They do not travel smoothly nor reliably lock as designed when fully extended. It can also result in some of the drawers not closing fully without some fuss. It's so bad that I am looking into replacing these sliders with entirely new hardware.

Looks great, terrible to assembleI consider myself an expert IKEA assembler - I often volunteer to help friends put together their furniture, and enjoy it. These chests were the most difficult ikea pieces I’ve ever encounter BY FAR. The hardware is terrible, and you have to deal with the worst piece 24 times per chest. The only way I was able to assemble was to drill bigger holes, so we’ll see how they hold up long term. Beware and set aside a good chunk of time before you start! They are a serious project.

Poorly designedI tried for hours to get the glide screws in. They wouldn't go in. Then I drilled out the holes fatter. In addition to the extra labor, such a move on my part carries risks to the assembled product - risks I paid by the drawers being loose and binding into each other.

Tons of storageBought two of these to go with the Ivar cabinet on top. Stacked them on top of each other for tons of storage in my office. Stained them a dark walnut color and dry brushed over them for a rustic effect. Absolutely love these.

Like the size, dislike the hardwareI bought two of these late spring for my kids' room. I liked how it fit into the whole IVAR system so that shelving and drawers were all along one wall, thus conserving space in an already crowded shared room. While the end result looks great and goes along with the vintage and industrial look of the room, the screws that ikea provided are terrible! They did not fit very easily in the pre-drilled holes (the tips of the screws were flat) so it became very difficult to screw them in flush against the sides of the drawer rails. Therefore the drawers continue to get caught on these screws. Pushing harder with a screwdriver or drill only stripped the screws. Of course this is all very frustrating to anyone who needs to open the drawer.

Useful organizationI've bought 3 of these in the last couple of years. Was a little bit intimidating the first time. Can put them together very easily now. Drawers hold a reasonable amount of stuff. Do final assembly near final installation location, as the complete assembly can be heavy. Drawer bottoms are Masonite-like product, which won't hold real heavy stiff I suspect.
