Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plumber-approved Installed this faucet myself about 18 months ago. It was easy to install, along with a new silveran vanity and the oversized sink. Shortly afterwards, I had a plumber in to fix a drippy shower faucet. He admired the styling of the runskar; he was visibly surprised that it came from Ikea and was so reasonably priced. After fiddling around with it for a couple minutes, he pronounced it a very good product for the price. Said it looked like it would last a good long time. I've been happy with it since the beginning; no problems... Still works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Retro! Very Very Unique! Very Contemporary! We just installed it in our totally contemporary remodeled bathroom. This faucets looks awesome. We are still giving up final touch to this bathroom. So we haven't start using those faucets, yet. But I am pretty sure it will works good as they look. We are huge fans of IKEA's products, because you get the value for money, all products are contemporary & unique, easy to install or assemble. We wish there is IKEA store near by us, so we don't have to drive long or go to other hardware stores. We wish IKEA ship the products free like other stores or on-line giants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice faucet We never got to use this because Harvey flooded our house before we got it fully installed. So sad, we had just gotten back in our house over the tax day flood, and were in the process of finishing the last touches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beware of short connecting hoses An attractive slightly different looking faucet that once installed works perfectly. The connection hoses are quite short though and did not reach my supply line valves. A relatively easy fix is to buy 3/8th's compression connectors and short 3/8th's to 3/8th's supply lines. IKEA support was not helpful in this regard. Once I figured that out - works perfectly - additional cost ~ $20/faucet.

Water-conscious commitment in bathrooms

Every time you brush your teeth, wash your hands, shave or take a bath, you can help with something essential – saving water. A small aerator in every one of our bathroom faucets reduces water flow while maintaining pressure. But that’s just a small part of our bigger effort to conserve water. We’re committed to being water positive by 2020, that is, conserving more clean water than we use. And every water-saving action adds up.

When we started a project to improve our faucets in 2013, we hired Antony Smith, an engineer from England who has worked with faucets for more than a decade. Now Antony lives in Sweden and is part of a small team that develops faucets and showers that’s been instrumental in creating our new range of quality faucets that meet our ambitions for affordability, sustainability, form, and function.

Conserving resources from the very start

Conserving resources from the very start Like every new employee, Antony read founder Ingvar Kamprad's Testament of a Furniture Dealer. In it, Ingvar declares that, “wasting resources is a mortal sin,” and that helped Antony understand just how much we care about sustainability. "I realized we practise what we preach about sustainability," Antony says. "It's a refreshing experience, but it makes our job really difficult because we genuinely have to deliver on sustainability with each product." So, why is conserving water so important? Because water is one of our planet's most precious resources. Earth may be covered in a lot of water, but very little of it is drinkable and even less is accessible. No organism can survive without it, and no new water is created. It's constantly recycled, but our freshwater supply is overused; not evenly distributed; and impacted by pollution, contamination and climate change.

Thinking about water at every step

"Those of us who live where you can just turn on your faucet and get water may not think about saving water; it's taken for granted," Antony says. Behind the scenes, our water-conscious commitment includes exploring ways to improve water efficiency in our entire process. That includes providing factory workers and their families with fresh drinking water, ensuring all factory water is cleaned before release, reducing water usage in textile production and using rainwater to flush toilets in stores. We’re committed to being water positive by 2020, that is, conserving more clean water than we use. So, the aerator in your bathroom faucet is just a small part of our bigger effort to conserve water. And now Antony and his team are working on new faucets using sensors and spray technology – and new water-efficient showers – to save even more. Every water-saving action adds up.
