Designer thoughts
"The basic idea for IKEA PS pendant lamp was born when Henrik lay looking up at a ceiling fan. There he saw three glaring light bulbs inside transparent glass shades. The shades seemed totally unnecessary, but if you turned them upside down, you could fill them with something that reduced the glare from the bulbs. A few years later, we realised the idea together. For Mattias, it was natural to design the shade like a bucket. Fill it with old light bulbs or candy - you decide how you want the lamp to look."
