Great, but...MelissaI use this currently as a monitor riser on my desk - attached some short leggies from another retailer so that I have space underneath it to hide away the mess I'm too lazy to clean up. Overall, it works great for this purpose, but I REALLY wish the old version was available because I'd love to own that one. It had the two drawers, but there was a space in the middle. If IKEA can bring this back, I would be thrilled.

Wish I Could Have Seen It On DisplayKatieOverall it’s a nice piece, but it does not serve my needs. The South Philly store did not have it on display (or, at least, not that anybody was willing to show me), and if I had seen it, I would have not purchased it. The drawers are not as deep as expected (based on the measurements listed online), and the drawers extend to only about half of their full length, making it difficult to put anything sizeable (such as a notebook) in them. For what it’s worth, it was easy to assemble and looks nice when complete, but I wish I hadn’t wasted the hour drive and the hour assembly to figure out that it doesn’t actually fit my needs.
Best shelf everHabraanI currently using this shelf under my tv. The shelf was easy to build, easy to hang, spacious for various items.
Terrible super dissatisfiedAndleenI am honestly so disappointed and upset.
The Ramshults (which is the unit to hang up the shelf) Two of them came broken.
I went to buy another one. When I tried to hang it up it was not durable enough
it took me about 2 days to try and get this up on the wall. I put so many holes in my wall to do this but it just was not stable enough.
Also it does not come with holes in the shelf. You have to do it yourself.
Simple Set of drawers but versatileMikeI needed a table top drawer for napkins in my dining area and this fit the bill. I already had a base so the fact it did not require legs was an advantage. It would have been nice if it also came in black but the finish is nice.
FunctionalKristyReturned as it did not fit my space. It's a very nice streamlined shelf but was much larger than expected once I brought it home. I did measure, but it just looked out of place. Unfortunate.
Perfect size to store my Watches, Jewelry and KeysBobbyI was looking for a place to store my watches without putting them back in the boxes and the rest of my jewelry, and the Ekby Alex fits perfectly on top of my dresser. I bought some peel-and-stick velvet material to line the drawers with and now it's the perfect spot for my watches to be and keeps them within easy reach. I wish it came in black, but all I saw online was white, I did see black available with the shelf brackets, but I wanted something to place on top of the dresser and this works well. I use one drawer for my watches and the other for my jewelry and keys.
Fits just rightJackieWe needed a small storage unit to complete the sewing room layout. These Ekby Alex units fit just right. Yes, the drawers are small, but I needed a place for storing small items. Easy to assemble (especially after assembling several other IKEA units). Served our purpose beautifully.

What is particleboard?
