Care

Cover

Machine wash warm, normal cycle.

Do not bleach.

Do not tumble dry.

Iron medium temperature, max 300°F/150°C.

Dry clean any solvent except trichloroethylene.

Wipe clean with a mild soapy solution.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Fast delivery, sub standard productJamesMy new bar stool arrived very fast, 2 days, unfortunately the color of stain was much darker then my original stool of the same model. The construction was hampered by an incorrectly drilled hole that accepts the small barrel shaped faster the Allen bolt threads into. I had to use a drill bit the same size and clean out the hole by twisting the bit by hand. The finish as well as being darker was rough compared to my original and seemed to be of lower quality.1

Our new kitchen island needed some stools and we almost gave up the search until we found these Ikea stools. So they are now the grandchildrens favorite spot to eat or even do their crafts and we know that Ikea has replacement seat covers if they get ruined.5
COVERSBevaThe details say in regards to the cover 'can choose from several different seat covers and switch between them when you like'. So we also also bought the chairs as we really liked the stools...until we now find out as our stool covers are starting to show wear, the covers are not available!! This is very disappointing. Otherwise the stools and chairs have been good.4

Amazing look, great valueAnonymousWe bought 4 of these Ekedalen counter stools in white/grey to match our island. They are so sturdy, and comfortable. We had considered Nordviken stools also but ended up going with these for the higher back and slightly larger padded seat. Bonus, we scored them for $90each in the As-is section because they are getting discontinued! Not sure what the complaints are about assembly. My 13yr old daughter put all 4 together in a couple of hours, and I did the grey snap clips underneath to attach the seats. No issues. Fantastic stools! 5
Stable bar stools are a perfect match to our table chairs MartynSeveral years ago we bought 4 dining room chairs. We had bar stools for our kitchen counter which were stylish but useless.They were not stable then we saw matching Ekedalen stools and we got them. Stable and a joy to use. 5

IKEA can do better than thisVirginiaFirst, let me say that I'm not an IKEA hater. Their products usually give good value for the price point. I bought one of these and the assembly was problematic. The screws would not bite into the wood where they were supposed to go and I had to drill pilot holes to get them to drive in. The seat top did not clip into place. The clips don't reach to the lip of the base. The front cross piece was sheared on one side, which wasn't obvious until I was finished with the assembly. I give it 3 stars because I like the idea of this chair. I have repaired the cross brace and will keep it, but really IKEA you can do better.3

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Choose the right bar stool height

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 87-91 cm from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 60-66 cm. Tabletops or counters that measure between 101-106 cm from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height", and require a seat height of 72-76 centimetres.
