How to make a return at IKEA
In-store returns
Returning in-store? Use our Express return service for a faster experience. Bring your receipt or order number and head to Exchanges & returns. You’ll receive a barcode online to speed things up. This applies to most items returned within 365 days.
Parcel return at Pick-up location
Starting at $5, you can now return smaller parcel‑sized items (under 30 kg) to one of our assigned drop‑off locations.
• To ensure your return is accepted:
• Secure your package in a manner suitable for transport•Include all parts, components, and accessories
• Ensure the shipping package does not exceed 120 cm × 60 cm × 60 cm (L × W × H)

Return pickup truck
Need to return a large item?
If you’ve changed your mind and require a large item or items to be picked up from your residence, we can arrange a pickup through our third‑party service provider. Please note that a pickup fee will apply unless your product is damaged or defective.
Before the scheduled pickup:
• Disassemble all large items.
• Package all components and parts together so they are clearly identified as one complete product.
• Have the packaged item(s) ready for collection at the main entrance or entryway of your home or business.
This pickup service is not available in all areas of Canada. Please contact us to confirm availability and to get started.
It’s OK to change your mind
You have 365 days to return your new and unopened products and 90 days for open products. Conditions apply.
