"When I was weaving baskets in school I could never have imagined that years later I would be crouching down in the heat of Hanoi, discussing weaving techniques with skilled basket-makers. With LERAN pendant lamps I gave a contemporary expression to the ancient handicraft - resulting in an exciting meeting. The form comes in several sizes and the largest is like a light sculpture. Rattan is a fantastic natural material that works well as a light filter. The shade gives a soft warm light, even with a low-energy bulb."
